This large, attractive stone farmhouse has been divided into two picturesque holiday properties (refs W14149 and W14561). Each property is spacious and well furnished, and on-site there is a large, shared, indoor heated swimming pool (6.5m x 3.6m, depth 1-1.5m) as well as a large, shared, enclosed garden with games area which includes pétanque, badminton and table tennis. The properties are ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area which includes the D-Day landing sites, Mont St Michel and Bayeux. Villedieu-les-Poêles, the copper and bell manufacturing city with great museums and shopping, is only 20km away. Within half an hours drive is the historic cathedral town of Countances and the sandy beaches of Montmartin-sur-Mer. A little further down the coast is the lively seaside resort of Granville with restaurants, shops, casino and ferries over to the nearby islands of Jersey and Guernsey.

Shop, café/bar and restaurant 2.5km, beach 25km.

Ground floor: Lounge, kitchen/diner, separate toilet and basin. First floor: 1 double bedroom (5ft bed) with en-suite bathroom with toilet and basin. Second floor: Shower room with toilet and basin, 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Mezzanine with folding single bed, double sofa bed in lounge.

Oil central heating, all fuel and power at cost, bed linen and towels included in rent, cot, colour satellite TV, DVD player, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, shared lawned garden, terrace, garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 1 car. Sorry, no pets. No smoking please. NB: Sloping ceilings and low beams in some rooms. Woodburner not in use. Steps in grounds.

  1. The house was lovely, full of character and very well equipped. The kids and we loved pool. It was great that it was heated as when we visited in May it had not been all that warm so for small children it would have been too cold without the heating. Also great that it was an indoor pool and that we could close the door knowing that the kids did not have access when we were not in the garden. Only short drive to the beach which were huge, beautiful and empty. Would love to go back. May 2012.
  2. We enjoyed a wonderful week here in April 2011. The cottage was perfect and accommodated 7 of us with ease. It’s located in a beautiful setting with glorious views and stunning sunsets. Tony, our host, couldn’t have been friendlier and ensured our stay was delightful. The pool was fantastic, a huge bonus for the children who spent hours splashing around. The location was ideal to explore Normandy with the charming city of Coutances and its majestic gardens within easy reach. There is a huge amount to do in the area and many wonderful places to explore and this cottage was the perfect base. April 2011.

  4. This is a beautiful old cottage that truely represents the essance of th French culture. The pictures on the web did not really capture the beauty or idilicness of this accommodation. The cottage has a homely feel and is very restful and peaceful. The woodburning stove and the excellent pool facilities have made this an excellent choice for all the family. We would definately return to this property in the future. July 2010.

  8. The quality of the fitments, jacuzzi bath etc were very good, made great use of the log fire and sky television in the evening to cosy up to after a fun family session in the wonderful pool. Really great family break with lots to do nearby. Excellent mix of French farmhouse authenticity mixed with luxury finishes like the jacuzzi bath in en-suite, indoor pool, sky television with stereo sound system.....etc. Aug 2009.
