This detached bungalow is situated in a secluded location yet within minutes’ walk of the pretty village of Stratton offering pubs and shops. Bude, only 2 miles away is the main holiday resort of the area, with sandy beaches and rock pools, ’Splash’ swimming pool, golf course, shops and pubs. Boasting a lawned garden and furnished and equipped to a good standard it provides an excellent base for exploring both the Devon and Cornwall coast. Shop and pub 300 yards.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. Utility room. 3 bedrooms: 2 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity and bed linen included. Cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD. Two stereos. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Fridge/freezer.Telephone-local calls only. Garden and furniture. Parking (3 cars).

  1. We enjoyed our stay overall.bedrooms where roomy and beds comfortable. The main room was ok for four adults but six adults would find it a bit of a squeeze. June 2011.
  2. We really enjoyed our stay. Some of the highlights for us were location (in close proximity of Bude), cleanliness, ample parking space for 2 vehicles and well equipped. Sep 2010.
  3. Three good sized bedrooms and a very spacious modern bathroom. The lounge/kitchen/dining room was a little cramped and would not comfortably accommodate six adults. There is a useful utility area. Overall a very nice property and just a few minutes walk from two good pubs. Few minutes drive to nearby Morrisons and Bude Town Centre. Aug 2010.
  4. We chose this bungalow primarily for the ground-floor disabled access with walk-in shower being essential and it proved to be perfect for the two disabled members of our party. We were very pleased with the bungalow for reasons including seclusion, large bathroom, 2 double beds, cleanliness, garden furniture, & proximity to Stratton with excellent fish & chip shop and pub meals. A second toilet would have been useful. Also would have liked a DVD or CD player to assist with holiday ’chill-out’. June 2010.
  5. Great location for touring north Cornwall/Devon and only a 5 minute drive from Bude. Accommodation was good for sleeping but on the basis that it can take 6 adults you would be very cramped in the main room which has a dining table/sofa chairs and kitchen all in one. As a couple of our party dropped out there were just 4 of us (plus baby) and it was okay! Really appreciated all the bits left in the cottage (cleaning, tea, coffee etc) although we had brought same with us. Cot and high chair was great too. Would go back and use as a base again but not if there were 6 of us. Oct 2009.

  7. We had no idea what the property was like inside as there were no photographs available on the website. It was great to be able to leave the dog in the small yard - both overnight - and when we wanted to leave him unattended. Lovely garden and fantastic views from living room window. May 2008.
  8. Stratton is a fantastic location with so much to see and do nearby. It has excellent links to good roads and has everything you need within a 5min drive. A great local pub, the kings arms. Oct 2007.
