This charming riverside cottage, originally a 19th-century mill building, is situated on the banks of the tumbling River Clough, on the outskirts of the quiet market town of Sedbergh. The skilful conversion includes a fully fitted oak kitchen and quality pine furniture. There is direct access to the Howgill Fells and the Farfield Mill Heritage Arts Centre is adjacent. The holiday cottage is excellently placed for walking and touring both the Dales and the Lakes. Shop and pubs 1 mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with toilet.

NSH, individually controlled panel heaters, electric heater, electricity and bed linen included. Video. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Patio garden and furniture. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. NB: The garden borders a river.

  1. The cottage is one of the nicest we’ve stayed in for a number of reasons, but most important is that it is warm and comfortable and feels like a home from home. Although the weather was poor, we weren’t too bothered because we enjoyed staying indoors! The location was a big part of that - the river running so near the back of the house provided a source of constant entertainment. We also liked the fact that the mill was so near - the cafe is to be recommended. Sept 2011.
