In a superb setting overlooking fields and commanding stunning views out to sea and of the Eddystone Lighthouse. This spacious holiday cottage, adjacent to the owner’s home on a NT mixed farm, in an AONB, has been refurbished to give a comfortable base for a quiet, relaxing holiday. South Devon Coastal path 250 yards away. Wembury beach and marine centre is ½ mile and the city of Plymouth, 5 miles. Shop, PO and pub 1½ miles.

Ground floor: Kitchen. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet. First floor: Living room. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Separate toilet.

First £10 electricity and NSH included, remainder by £1 coin meter. Oil and bed linen included. Towel hire. Cot. High chair. Digital TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Oil Aga. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer on request. Freezer. Enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Barbecue. Parking. Friday to Friday.

  1. New Barton is a lovely cottage with amazing views. Very peaceful and great for walking. Kids loved the farmyard setting and got to know the wandering peacocks very well (take some peanuts with you!). The goose was a bit grumpy though. Aug 2012.

  5. Ideal place for for country people with dogs, with an excellent farm shop also on the doorstep. Wi - fi address would be an advantage as we had a medical emergency at our home address ie (no mobile signal ). March 2012.
  6. This property was really lovely with a view to die for out of the sitting room window... the owners were extremely friendly and very laid back. We were also allowed to take our dog which meant the world to us. The farm setting was idylic and to be woken to the sound of a cockrell evey morning and hearing the cows, the new lambs, the geese, the chickens and the peacocks throughout the day was to me -total rustic heaven! We would love to book again... March 2012.

  8. If you want a relaxing and quiet holiday away from the world and views of the sea then this is perfect. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They run a farm shop stocked, with delicious food. July 2011.
  9. Friendly welcome. Another lovely week at New Barton. View from (big) sitting room/dining room beautiful - better than the pictures. Nice walks to Wembury and to the foot ferry to Noss Mayo/Newton Ferrers (good pub lunches worth the walk). Visit(s) to the farm shop a MUST. Moostone meats also found at various local pubs, always excellent quality and worth looking out for. Also loved the farmhouse kitchen and cooking on the aga. We recommend and will go again. July 2011.
  10. Peaceful setting on a working farm but very little farm noise, big, light and airy rooms with wonderful views and lovely walks. The excellent weather helped and we were made very welcome the Farm Shop good and the beef wonderful. April 2011.
  11. A wonderful, relaxing cottage set on the Coastal Path with the added value of a on-site Farm Shop....we have never eaten and rested so well. A family friendly atmosphere to which we will be retuning too in the future. April 2011.
  12. A very spacious cottage with stunning views on a working farm with a farm shop. Must keep dogs on a lead if they like chasing birds the cliffs are about 100 ft high. April 2011.

  15. A farm-house style, not as swish as some places, but then ideal for walkers & dog owners. Proximity to Coast Path was brilliant, as were the views from the house. We went in Feb, so found it a little hard to heat the lounge and bedrooms. Aga kept the kitchen warm, wonderful for drying out clothes after rainy walks. Feb 2011.

  17. It was nice and remote with super veiws over the sea, we also picked this property because it allowed TWO Dogs!! And the owners were such lovely people made us so welcome and the farm shop was a real bonus with some lovely food, we only ate out once. Oct 2010.
