Originally built in 1835, this traditional, Welsh barn, constructed of stone under slate roof, has been sympathetically converted retaining many original features and is set in a beautiful rural location. Occupying a central situation that boasts stunning views across the Cambrian mountain range, the property is unique in style and character with modern conveniences and has access and use of the pretty courtyard, ideal for barbecues on a summer’s evening. The area is renowned locally and nationally for its diverse range of outdoor activities such as walking, fishing, shooting, mountain biking and a wide variety of water sports. This is an ideal base for touring the local area with easy access to Cardigan Bay, offering sandy beaches and trips to the Black Mountains. Horse riding nearby. Ideal for golf. Shop 3 miles.

  4. Had a lovely stay at the Cowshed over new years. The pictures don’t really do the property justice, it’s very spacious upstairs and there is a quaint little stream that runs past the back of the house. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. It’s a shame the weather was so bad, although it didn’t stop us from venturing out to Aberystwyth and Devil’s Bridge. Would recommend. Dec 2011.
  5. This property was perfect for our 2 night short break. The rooms were spacious and so clean and tidy. It offered music, games and great entertaining space for us as we were a party of 8. The property exceeded all our expectations and we were thrilled to have booked such a well equipped and modern holiday cottage. The place is perfect if you want to get away from it all for a while. We didn’t venture out much so can’t comment on places to go for days out, but a car is a must as it is a rural location. Beautiful countryside, warm friendly owner and key holders and would definitely go again! Great value for money and loved every minute. Oct 2011.
  6. The cottage was in a beautiful location, with lovely views. You certainly needed a car, as there were no shops or pubs nearby, but we were quite happy to hibernate for the weekend, having got all our supplies with us. The Barn was absolutely gorgeous, and so well equipped, very spacious, the open plan was excellent for us as it was a girlie weekend away, and although it was very spacious no one felt shut away in any space, cooking, eating etc. I would certainly recommend it.   7. The property was maintained to a very high standards. The rooms and bath rooms were very large clean and there was attention to detail paid on all aspects in presenting the property well.   19. The superbly prepared and clean condition of the cottage upon our arrival really impressed me and the rest of my party. Even though the setting of te property was fantastic we hadn’t really found the need to leave the cottage throughout our short weekend break because the accommodation was so well kitted out for cooking and entertaining ourselves.
