Property Description

Nestled in picturesque rolling countryside in the heart of Pembrokeshire’s iconic National Park, this detached, traditional farmhouse is located on a 400-acre farm. Mynydd Crwn Bach offers a perfect touring base for a family or couple looking to explore the spectacular coastline and rugged majestic hills of beautiful Pembrokeshire. The farmhouse, dating back to the early 19th century has been well-presented throughout with a contemporary bathroom and spacious living areas with lots of welcoming touches added to provide guests with a memorable holiday experience. The area itself has lots on offer including fantastic walks along the nearby Preseli Hills, where guests can discover picturesque walks and ancient monuments, including the Bronze Age burial chamber of ‘Pentre Ifan Dolmen’, standing beautifully in its rugged terrain. The magnificent 187 miles of coastline is within easy reach and is home to some stunning beaches and horseshoe coves, as well as the pretty coastal resorts of Newport, Porthgain and Solva, encased in tranquil fishing harbours and scattered with cafés, art galleries and irresistible seafood restaurants. For an interesting day out, take a scenic drive to Britain’s smallest city of St David’s and discover its 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops Palace, or take a sea trip safari around the off-shore island of Ramsey, cruising close to seabirds, seals and the occasional dolphin. 7. The location of the cottage was very central so exploring the area was very easy, everywhere was about 30 minutes away. It was lovely being in a cottage that was so well equipped, even down to a first aid box (with a child that is essential). The owner was quite concerned that we had everything we needed and made a special journey to tell us about window locks and check we did not need a cot which was lovely and reassuring since we were traveling with our baby. May 2009.
  8. Quiet, out of the way location with nice views. July 2009.
  9. The cottage was very clean and well presented and had everything provided that you could possibly wish for including welsh cakes and a vase of flowers. The owners were very approachable and helpful. July 2009.
  10. Nice touches such as fresh flowers and Welsh cakes and a pint of milk in the fridge were very welcome after a long journey. May 2009.
  11. The cottage was excellent in a wonderful location, the owner couldn’t have been more helpful. Oct 2006.
  12. We really enjoyed our holiday and the warm welcome of the people there. April 2006.
