  1. Lovely farm, lots of wildlife and interesting nature walks. View good, owners on site and very welcoming without being intrusive. Liked the chickens and goats. Ferry inn in Cawood is brilliant, riverside terrace and good meals and good beer, all in walking distance. Liked riverside walk from Kelfield to Cawood and beyond, and the Cawood castle garth walks were lovely with good info boards. Cawood post office has good supplies too. July 2012.
  2. This cottage is in a lovely quiet spot, especially as we were the only ones in the row at the time. The cottage is nicely equipped, but some things need a little tlc e.g. banister, dishwasher, etc. Pretty basic accommodation but I would stay again for a cheap getaway. April 2012.

  11. The owners of the cottage was very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them It was in a lovely setting and the views were lovely too. There was plenty of information about what to do locally in the area. The beds were really comfy and the heating was too hot! We had to turn it down. The kids didn’t want to go home. We wanted to show our cousin from Seattle, USA, around Yorkshire and found this an excellent base - we visited the Yorkshire moors and had a lovely day in York - the excellent ’park and ride’ being only a few miles away ( at a designer shopping centre!!) We all thoroughly enjoyed the few days away. Oct 2007.

  17. This was an excellent choice for me and my family. We have a dog and the walks were GREAT. The owners were excellent and there dogs were very friendly. If my dog could talk he would say he didn’t want to leave. This is also true for me and my family we enjoyed the country setting and the farm aspect..it’s great to have the peace that comes with country life. For me it was a 10 but just remember it is a working farm and without farmers..cities can’t live!!!! July 2006.
