Property Description

These two delightful cottages are only 60 yards from sandy beaches and both enjoy some sea views over Mount’s Bay. Forming an adjoining pair, they stand on the main street of the ancient, silk-trading town of Marazion. Both holiday cottages enjoy their own south-facing garden and patio with garden furniture. In the bay, rising out of the sea and topped by its magnificent castle, is St Michael’s Mount (NT) – reached on foot at low tide, otherwise by ferry. There are shops, pubs, restaurants, sailing and windsurfing within yards, and nearby are cliff-top walks and excellent bird-watching on Marazion Marshes. Penzance (3 miles) is a relaxed town with many amenities and boat trips to the Isles of Scilly. Riding, golf and sea-fishing nearby. Shops 200 yards. Several pubs locally.

Open-plan living/dining room with open fire and fully fitted kitchen area. Door to rear patio. Pine staircase to first floor: Double bedroom with fireplace (ornamental only) and sea views. Bunk bedroom with sloping ceiling. Small bathroom with over-bath shower and
toilet.

Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The cottage was situated close to the beach. The cooking facilities were good. The owner had left some fresh scones, cream and strawberry jam for us in the fridge. There were T-bags and coffee in containers as well as washing up liquid and even tablets for the washing machine. The TV offered sufficent choice of channels and there was a stack of DVDs we could use. July 2012.
  2. Lovely cottage in a great location. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Owner gave us good advice on local shops and supermarkets. A great base for exploring Cornwall. June 2012.
  3. The property is situated on the main road through Marazion and parking is in a private parking area on the sea front, but the house is well insulated so noise was not a problem. June 2012.
  4. The hospitality shown by the owners was exceptional: if it wasn’t fully booked we’d return this year, and hope to do so in the future. April 2012.
  5. Lovely little cottage, everything you could possibly need including milk and a cream tea in the fridge when we arrived! The owner was very helpful with info on things to do/events. Weather glorious on one day and not very good on the rest but we amused ourselves at the eden project, seal sanctuary, lands end and many other places- great base to explore the area. Marazion is good place to stay though we couldnt see much of st michaels mount due to filming. Pubs good for food also and parking just across rd useful. great week. April 2012.
  6. It is a lovely cottage, very convenient for the beach and the local amenities. The owner is lovely and left us a cream tea on our arrival. Oct 2011.
  7. We wanted for nothing, the owner supplied most things we could ever need, even a spaghetti fork. Little touches like cream teas on arrival and an extensive collection of activity leaflets and money off coupons were much appreciated. Would whole heartedly recommend this property! July 2011.
  8. This is a charming and very well appointed cottage in a superb location. You will always get a very warm welcome from the owners who are great. We have stayed here a number of times and fully intend to book again. May 2011.
  9. This cottage is truly a hidden gem. The owners are so friendly and accommodating and we would definitely consider returning in future. Well located - the beach is literally across the road, with a lovely pub overlooking St Michael’s Mount. Nice sunny back garden with a BBQ, we got lots of use out of as it was sunny every day. Fantastic stay! April 2011.
  10. A lovely cottage, well equipped and brilliantly located. April 2011.
  11. Good location, very clean, all mod cons. Aug 2010.
  12. Perfect location for small young family ideally suited to two adults and up to two children. June 2010.
  13. Very clean, well-furnished cottage in perfect location. The owner was really helpful and supplied a lovely cream tea on arrival! June 2010.
  14. Scrupulously clean and welcoming with fresh flowers and a cream tea for us in the fridge. Also the Owner there to greet us and run through things and tell us what was happening that week locally. June 2010.
  15. Clean, tidy and warm and fairly spacious. Every thing we needed was there. Oct 2009.
  16. By far the best holiday cottage we have stayed in - that’s why we keep coming back. The welcome and thoughtful extras provided by the owners are fantastic. June 2009.
  17. The location of the cottage was excellent. It was indeed very clean, fully functional and very well presented. My initial concerns about the main road were quickly alleviated as the bedroom window had secondary glazing. April 2009.
  18. Lovely cottage, fantastic location, wonderfully welcoming. May 2008.
  19. Home from home, very helpful owner with lots of local information available. June 2008.
  20. We had a very relaxing break, made most enjoyable by the comfort of the cottage and the high standard to which it is obviously kept. Dec 2008.
