Property Description

Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and tucked into the hillside in a quiet, rural, elevated position, this charming holiday cottage has far reaching views over Swaledale. There is fantastic walking direct from the door and the cottage is well placed for touring the Yorkshire Dales. Carefully furnished and co-ordinated throughout to create a true ’home from home’, the feature fireplace lends itself to those winter getaways, whilst the garden room looks directly onto the dale side. Inn and restaurant is a minute’s walk.

Steps to entrance. Ground floor: Living room with beams. Dining room/kitchen. First floor: Conservatory/garden room. 3 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft) with en-suite shower room and toilet, 2 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Garden with patio and furniture. Barbecue. Cycle store on request. No smoking. Friday to Friday (from April 2015) NB: The raised garden has a drop and steps.

  1. Moorview was a real home from home with nice "extras" such as a home made cake, bread and milk on arrival. Immaculately clean and benefiting from the owners on hand living next door to answer any queries, a particularly welcome feature in winter is the under floor heating in both bathrooms and the delightful garden room. Taking 3 teenagers to the middle of nowhere in February is a challenge; but the comments were "it’s been a great holiday, much better than we thought it would be"! Feb 2012.

  6. A very warm and inviting cottage, the owners made us very welcome and even baked a lovely home made cake. The area was beautiful, views of the Dales all around the cottage, been refurbished to a very high standard. First visit to the dales and enjoyed every moment, will definitely visit again!   13. This cottage has recently been renovated and is very nicely decorated, tastefully furnished and spacious with fantastic view over Swaledale. The owner lives next door and is extremely helpful for giving tips about possible walking/hiking options. A very good pub is just a few houses down the road. I am recommending this cottage highly!   15. The standard of the property was very good with excellent facilities. The location awas ideal for walking in the area, the scenery from the cottage was lovely and there was a tranquil quality about the whole location.

  19. The property was of a very high standard, there were a lot of small extra’s provided e.g hairdryer, several kitchen consumables and a very nice homemade cake. The only problem, because our group were going out separately was maintaining contact as there was no mobile phone coverage until we reached Richmond or Leyburn, therefore perhaps the property could have benefited from a pay-phone/phone for incoming calls only.
