Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Beautiful setting, beautiful property. Could have used a kitchen bin and some bin bags but otherwise perfect. March 2012.
  2. Charming property which was ideally located for walks and great sized deck over looking the lake. Shop on site stocking useful items and range of wine. Dec 2011.
  3. Visited in mid-late December. While the weather was generally too cold (icy roads) to do much outdoor activity (though there are a lot of activities to do) the cottage itself kept us very comfortable. The tennis court was a welcome feature however the swimming pool was closed while we were there. Beautifully picturesque location on the lake edge - the sunrise was well worth being awake for and the stars at night were spectacular. Cirencester is reasonably close by, providing a handy source of civilisation for last minute purchases and for food. All in all we had a very enjoyable weekend. Dec 2011.
  4. We had a wonderful weekend break at Misty Lodge. The location was fantastic with several lovely walks and places to eat nearby, and it was handy having a little shop on the estate. The cottage was lovely and well equipped and we really enjoyed sitting on the little terrace overlooking the lake with our morning cup of tea! The owner was extremely friendly and very helpful. Nov 2011.
  5. Ideal location, really superb. Local pub (Bakers arms) is ok as long as you have no appetite (food nice but very, very small meals) Old George at South Cerney or Greyhound at Siddington are much better. Hire a canadian canoe and explore - it really is worth your while. May 2011.
  6. Beautiful, tranquil setting, overlooking lake. Feb 2011.
  7. Really gorgeous cottage, well laid out for a large family group. Immaculately clean and plenty of bedding. Very warm cottage, plenty of hot water for 7 of us etc. We particularly enjoyed swimming in the mill house hot pool with the snow all around us - bit crazy ! Safe for toddlers and reasonable soundproofing for a baby in one bedroom. Dec 2010.
  8. Very cosy and comfortable and warm - freezing weather outside! Nov 2010.
  9. Nice cosy cottage with lovely views over the lake. Oct 2010.
  10. Good location with lovely views over the lake. Sept 2010.
  11. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere at Misty Lodge and Lower Mill Estates. June 2010.
  12. Decking overlooking the lake is the highlight of the cottage. The cottage is on the smaller side but the space is well utilised. The local facilities, especially the outdoor pool are excellent. A friendly environment with plenty to do in and around the area. May 2010.
  13. The accommodation was fresh and bright. It is in a fantastic location. Slightly further to the nearest pub than specified but a lovely walk so not an issue. Would recommend to anyone hoping for an excellent get away from it all. April 2010.
  14. The property was very well equipped - a larger tv would have been great if we had been there longer but it was not a major concern. The cottage was very well planned small but all the space was used well and the deck overlooking the lake made it extra special. The owner made us very welcome. April 2010.
  15. Was a beautiful cottage which we didn’t expect to be so well decorated and equipped. March 2010.
  16. Its a very welcoming and cosy cottage. The bedrooms are spacious and the view is great across the lake. One thing - the sofa was a little uncomfortable for our taste! But that was it, overall it was a lovely cottage. Nov 2009.
  17. You always see pictures of accommodation and think, they’re the photos taken at the property’s best so it won’t look like that when we get there, but we were blown away! The cottage was so unbelieveably beautiful, right down to the deck at the back overlooking the lake. We all said numerous times, it feels like we could be in the south of France (the weather was pretty great too), and we’ve all agreed we would bring our families back! Sept 2009.
  18. Peaceful and relaxing. Location, facilities, style. Aug 2009.
  19. We appreciated the surrounding with tennis court, sauna, heated swimming pool - especially for the children. Very nice. . Very nice house close to a lake. Beautiful view. Smaller issues with the lock of the balcony door. Presentation done by a neighbour as the owner was not there. When she came at the end of the week she informed us about possibilities, but it was too late. July 2009.
  20. The most magical place ever. May 2009.
