This tastefully furnished ground floor apartment is set in the beautiful gardens of the owner’s property, yet retains total independence.

The views over the Berre Lagoon are stunning and the large infinity swimming pool will be appreciated by all.

It is an ideal holiday base to discover the beauty of Provence, as within a short drive Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Salon-de-Provence, the golden sandy beaches and the Camargue, the most original and romantic region of Provence and possibly France, can all be reached. A friendly welcome is assured.

Shops, restaurants and café/bar 3km, beach 25km.

All on ground floor: Lounge/kitchen/diner, shower room with basin, separate toilet, 1 twin (can be double) bedroom, sofa bed in lounge.

Electric heating, air conditioning, all fuel and power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, colour TV, DVD player, wi-fi, microwave, shared lawned garden, garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 1 car. Sorry, no pets. NB: Maximum sleeps 2.

  1. This property is an ideal base for touring the area. The Camargue is a must plus all the beautiful villages and towns within easy travelling distance. The infinity pool at the gite is perfect for cooling off when you return from your exploring and sitting on your veranda overlooking the lake watching flamingos and swans (with a lovely glass of local wine) is an ideal way to relax. The hosts Francoise and John-Pierre are really helpful and are very knowledgeable about the area - a lovely couple. This was an ideal holiday and we could not have wished to be anywhere else. June 2012.
  2. This was a perfect studio style property for 2 people. The view from the studio and terrace outside was amazing and the pool was beautiful. The owners could not have been more helpful. We would have appreciated a warning that the drive was quite steep and best approached from the Istres direction. June 2012.
  3. Very nice views from this property. Hosts are very helpful. Just be careful on exiting onto the main road as very fast Drivers in this area. June 2012.
  4. Our first reaction was that it was tiny, even for two. However, the space in the apartment was quite sufficient for our needs, and the view outside was beautiful. The hospitality of the owners was excellent. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday, and would recommend this apartment to any couple. Little touches, like leaving some wine, fruit and olive oil was appreciated, and especially the fresh bread and pain-au-chocolate the morning after we had had a long day out! We were told in detail about all that was on offer locally. She was very approachable and friendly, but nevertheless respected our privacy. The swimming pool was lovely. We wish we had spent more time there. A week was not really enough to explore everything locally. Sept 2011.
  5. A lovely property in an exceptional setting, with friendly and helpful owners. The views over the Etang de Berre from the terrace outside the property are fabulous and we spent many meal times enjoying them. The property is ideally situated for exploring the mediaeval towns and villages of southern Provence as well as the Camargue(don’t forget the mozzy spray!). We would definitely recommend this property and this area, and would love to go back to both as 2 weeks were not enough to enjoy all that it has to offer. Sept 2011.
  6. We would thoroughly recommend this property. The beautiful infinity pool, view from the apartment, fantastic hosts and amount of things to see and do made this the perfect location. We shall definitely be returning. July 2011.
  7. Located overlooking a huge salt-water lake (Étang de Berre), with breathtaking views. The photos online do not do the location justice! Miramas and Istres are located nearby for any essentials, both about 5 mins drive from the property. Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, the Camargue, Arles, and Baux-de-Provence are all easily accessible. The owners are so friendly, and give great advice about the local areas and beyond. We loved the market at Pélisanne and Château Virant vineyard nearby! Don’t worry - they’re definitely not the interfering type. The property itself is spacious enough, with a sofa bed, breakfast bar, and additional table and chairs, decorated in the "rustic" country style. Outside there is a lovely terrace, quite private, where you can enjoy a glass of the local wine enjoying the views over the lake. We thought this property was fantastic value for money, and have been recommending it (and the wonderful region of Provence) to all of our family and friends. June 2011.
  8. Outstanding views - would sit on the patio morning, noon and night to look over the lake. Our hosts were warm, kind and generous. The location of the apartment is perfect for small towns and sightseeing throughout Provence. A perfect retreat for two. May 2011.

  10. Fantastic location, with beautiful views overlooking the lake(Etang de Berre) just below the property. We had no idea till our arrival just how close we were to the lake & what a beautiful ’feature’ it was to the views from the outside terrace of the property. We spent many hours relaxing, eating, reading and generally enjoying the view at different times of the day! Lovely pool area which during our stay we had to ourselves along with the peaceful gardens. Aug 2010.

  13. It was what we like. Out of town so not near shops etc. Right on the edge of the lake. Calm and peaceful. Very tasteful furnishings. Spectacular views across the lake. Friendly and helpful owners and cats. Good pool heated by the sun. May 2010.
