Property Description

Set in the quiet picturesque village of Horham, Millstone is a detached single storey holiday cottage with a sunny garden overlooking fields to the rear. The village of Horham was the location of an American airbase in WWII and the officers’ mess and hospital still survive. Horham’s historic church reputedly has the oldest peel of 8 bells in the world. There are many places to visit including the market towns of Eye and Diss, Stradbroke which has an indoor swimming pool and Framlingham with its 12th century castle, Banham Zoo and the Norfolk Broads. Shop 100 yards, restaurant 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. Conservatory. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with folding bed, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Solid fuel Aga. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Large lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). No smoking.

  1. Best holiday cottage we’ve stayed at and we always do a cottage holiday. Very dog friendly - fantastic garden. Definitely feel at home at Millstone. Also the owners, the owners are very friendly. Stayed here 2 years ago and weren’t disappointed 2nd time round. As spotless and well equipped as it was before and just as quiet.   2. Everything you need for a very good holiday is here, there is nothing that is not catered for. Relaxing, quiet beautiful setting. There is a welcome pack for when you arrive just in case you have forgotten to bring a few bits that is very welcome. The best supermarkets are in Diss that is not to far away. The sea is not to far away too around 30 mins drive. All in all would recommend to anyone to stay at Millveue, Horham, Suffolk. June 2012.

  9. A lovely cosy, comfortable bungalow with pleasant garden and friendly neighbours, however no pub as described, but the locals can get together for a drink at the local centre. Good base for exploring all of Suffolks beautiful scenery and Suffolk hamlets. Lots of interesting things to do around the area. We found the people in this village very accommodating. March 2011.
  10. It was very comfortable, loads of room, the garden was great for the dog, lovely big TV with with all channels, lovely open fire, the owners were very helpful, would go there again. Suffolk was good too. Feb 2011.

  14. The quality of this cottage was under-rated. The rooms were larger than expected and extremely clean. The furnishings were better and more comfortable than usual. The garden is the largest we had over the years and completely secluded. Extremely well situated, with easy access to supermarkets and general shopping, yet very peaceful, country location. Lots to see and do within easy reach.Definitely our best cottage to date, and we have been to many over the years! Sept 2010.
  15. Had everything we needed, was clean and tidy and located central to the places we wanted to visit. The toys provided for our child were a lovely touch, which she enjoyed playing with, and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise enjoyed by us! Aug 2010.
