  1. Staying in mill cottage was like home from home. It is a very well equipped property with everything you could want or need supplied from the crockery to the information supplied of the local area and things to do. The house is perfectly placed for exploring the area and makes a good base from which to travel to places further afeild. During our stay we visited the isles of mull and rum as day trips as well as just walking on the beach or doing local walks from the house. The house is very warm and welcoming and this is enhanced by the owner Isabel who is always on hand to help out with any questions or queries and really invites you to share her lovely home and surroundings with you. the welcome we had on arrival which included milk, shortbread and oatcakes and cheese was a totally unexpected but lovely touch. Local wildlife is amazing. During our stay we saw grey herons, sea otters, seals just across the road in loch linne and numerous stags and deer. The only thing that evaded us was the elusive sea eagle and golden eagle which were sighted in the area whilst we were there. We would recommend the local ardgour inn for good food and friendly service which only takes 5-6 mins to walk to. Cann’t wait to return to the cottage and the area again. We were sad to leave. Oct 2012.
  2. We loved this cottage and its location as we love holidaying in Scotland. The cottage itself is perfect and Isabel the owner is very friendly and she is so attentive to detail and generous she really made our holiday special. Cannot wait to return... Sept 2012.
  3. Great cottage in a fantastic setting, with loads of wildlife in the area if you keep your eyes open. May 2012.
  4. The welcome we received on arrival was excellent, and the owner had kindly provided refreshments, fresh flowers and many other personal touches. The lovely cottage is in a beautiful setting, with wonderful views over the loch and mountains. It is very well equipped and cared for, and reading past visitor’s comments, it is easy to see why everyone enjoys their stay. We relaxed immediately, after a long journey, and were extremely comfortable throughout our stay. There is abundant information in the cottage which is so helpful when planning days out. At the same time, it is fun to just stay around the cottage, and take walks along the beach. There are so many good walks in the immediate vicinity, and further towns, lochs and places of interest are easily accessible by car. The Corran ferry across the lock is less than half a mile away. It is free to pedestrians, and reasonable to motorists. Fort William is close enough for shopping, and yet the Isle of Skye and Loch Ness are easily manageable in one day. This is indeed the most pleasant cottage we have stayed in. June 2011.
  5. Mill cottage was a lovely place to stay. The cottage itself was well maintained and very comfortable. The owners could not have been more helpful and the little welcome touches were very much appreciated. April 2012.

  16. This property was stunning I’d give it 10/10. I cannot fault it. The views were amazing and the owners very welcoming, they gave us complete privacy but were available if needed. Having got lost and arriving late they warmed the cottage for out arrival and assisted in getting there, far beyond their call or duty! The property felt like a home from home very comfortable cosy and well equipped. I found the price reasonable and will definitely go back as some point. There were thoughtful gestures like flowers and tea etc, and games cards and dvd’s. Brilliant local information was provided. Exceptionally clean and decorated lovely.
