Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. This was a lovely property with the owner really thinking of family group visiting. Very quiet, in the countyside with fields and forests around. May 2012.
  2. Lovely little Gite. Perfect for a quiet holiday. Down the end of a long lane with just 4 other properties. If you are after peace and quiet, this is the gite for you. Lovely accommodating owner who cannot do enough to help if you need it. Beautiful roads for cycling on, well worth bringing your bikes. June 2011.
  3. We had a superb stay at Isobel’s cottage. Wonderful setting in a quiet hamlet, with friendly horses for neighbours, a river nearby and total peace and quiet. The gite itself was very well set out and comfy, we had a very relaxing break and look forward to going again. June 2011.
  4. For those that like peace and tranquility indicative of rural France, but with easy access to traditional French villages and towns, beautiful river settings and beaches, this property is ideal. The owner is charming and helpful, and the gite is comfortable. June 2011.
  5. The gite is in the most fantastic location at the end of the hamlet, and is not overlooked at all (other than the resident horses and donkey, in the next field), yet is only minutes from the village of Mellac. Whilst compact and bijou, it has everything you would need and more and was extremely comfortable. Pont Aven, Kerfany Plage & Guidel (to name a few), are all within easy reach (less than half an hour’s drive), and are all worth a visit. All in all, a real find and a great holiday. May 2011.
  6. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable, really homely and clean. Sept 2010.
  7. Peace and quiet. Aug 2010.
  8. Beautiful rural location. Very pretty cottage. Aug 2010.
  9. Liked the location. July 2010.
  10. All that is required for a perfect holiday, lovely quiet setting beautiful surroundings, yet close enough to shops for the essentials. Very comfortable homely cottage. May 2010.
  11. A very light and spacious cottage with a large garden. We enjoyed the lovely tranquil rural setting. Sept 2009.
  12. Perfect location to explore Brittany, very peaceful and quiet rural, yet only a few miles from motorways making so much of this beautiful area so easily accessible. We have stayed in France many times, the owner on this occasion was the most welcoming of all. July 2009.
  13. The owner gave a very warm welcome and was very helpful, the accommodation was ideal, very clean and practical, and the location perfect, in the countryside, yet within a few miles of the motorway, so it was easy to see so much of beautiful Brittany. Highly recommend this accommodation. July 2009.
  14. Picturesque location and very quiet, not as close to local amenities as description suggested. Property is within 20 minutes of beaches and close to local large town for market days. July 2009.
  15. The accommodation was excellent and the owner extremely welcoming and friendly through out our stay. May 2009.
  16. The cottage was in a lovely quiet hamlet and far exceeded our expectations. It is ideal for a family who want to get away from it all. Our twins loved their special bedroom. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. The cottage was very clean and had everything (it was a home from home). Would definitely recommend it! May 2008.
  17. Lovely, peaceful accommodation, undisturbed, excellent touring base, friendly owner. Sept 2007.
  18. A superb property for toddlers - horses in the adjoining fields and close enough to lovely beaches. Cycling to town for our morning croissant was great! Sept 2007.
  19. The gite at Mellac is fantastic - a recently-restored barn, well equiped with everything you need for a holiday whatever the weather. The setting is fantastic, with views of the beautiful countryside in all directions, but the coast is easily accessible within 15 minutes drive. I would recommend this gite to everyone, as it is ideally situated to explore all of the south coast of Brittany as it is within 5 minutes drive of the N165, which means you can easily access the main tourist sites such as Concarneau, Carnac, Vannes etc. July 2006.
  20. It was very quiet and peaceful. The surrounding areas are worth visiting. We have been before to the area so knew what to expect. We got that and more. July 2010.
