The village also provides a number of activities including a 9-hole golf course and sauna and hot tub facilities at The Orange Tree Relaxation Centre. The popular market towns of Pickering and Kirkbymoorside lie within 9 miles and Helmsley with its castle ruins and Duncombe Park are 14 miles away. Other places of interest include Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo, 15 miles, Whitby, 18 miles and York, 40 miles. Beach 18 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
