Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. This is a lovely cottage with very helpful and warm welcoming owners in a very small hamlet. The sea and beach within 10 to 15 minutes walk down the hill. At the bottom of the hill is the welcoming ’Port William’ pub, friendly and good pub food. We went out of season so very peaceful and quiet. Amazing countryside on the cottage doorstep with lots of fantastic coastal walks, Tintagel good few miles walk along the coast or 10 minutes in the car. 10 minutes drive through the country lanes brings you to the A39. As was myself and partner we had a very romantic time, helped along by our cottage and the beautiful Cornish countryside. Dec 2012.
  2. Very cosy cottage with a superb location. Nov 2012.
  3. The view from the cottage is lovely looking down into a valley and the sea with spectacular sunsets (if the weather is good). The access road to the cottage is narrow and winding so take care. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and very relaxing. June 2012.
  4. Situated in wonderful countryside overlookoing Trebarwith Strand, the cottage can be seen from most headlands. Within 2-5 miles of all amenities, the cottage is warm and comfortable, easy to find, relaxing, and within 1 mile of the South West Coast Path. May 2012.
  5. This was a lovely cottage the bed was very comfortable, very warm and homely, great veiws. The owners were very helpful. May 2012.
  6. This is a beautiful cottage in a fabulous place, stunning views, peaceful, good for accessing other areas... we had an extremely good holiday... will return! April 2012.
  7. Meadwell is an unexpectedly spacious cottage for two people. Breakfast on a secluded, sunny patio accessed from the kitchen door was a joy. The sea views and sunsets were stunning and winding your way down narrow lanes to Trebarwith with a shimmering sea in front of you was always a splendid ’homecoming’. July 2011.
  8. Fantastic, peaceful location. Cottage was extremely comfortable although not as fully equipped as other cottages we have stayed in (no bin bags and had to buy washing up liquid). Although this was a minor annoyance we did feel these should have been supplied. The cottage was very clean throughout with ample parking. We found the location perfect for exploring the beautiful north coast as well as Dartmoor and the south coast. Very satisfied. June 2011.
  9. We had a marvellous holiday here - aided by superb weather and taking it in April before the Easter break so that roads and car parks were relatively clear - a vital point given the long and restricted access to the property and other local, narrow lanes so typical of Cornwall. Trebarwith Strand is a marvellous beach and it was great to have it within walking distance and to leave the car. The property was clean, comfortable, and spacious for 2 people with plenty of hot water and a good off-road parking space. We were welcomed by the owner, albeit briefly, and felt comfortable to call should the need have arisen. April 2011.
  10. Fabulous cottage. The amazing location really made it for us. Walking along the cliffs with amazing views from the cottage door, watching the sunset from the comfort of the cosy lounge in front of the log fire. Who could have asked for more? March 2011.
  11. A beautiful well presented cottage run by delightful, helpful people in a very tranquil spot. Perfect for visiting the surrounding area of Cornwall. Jan 2011.
  12. It was tastefully furnished, with a cd player and tv in the bedroom. When we arrived there was a pint of milk, thoughtfully left in the fridge with a plate of biscuits. Oct 2010.
  13. Beautiful characterful cottage, could not fault it. Oct 2010.
  14. Peaceful, glorious views and we could walk from the door to the beautiful South West Coast Path, plus pick blackberries for supper. Sept 2010.
  15. Location, spacious accommodation considering it is only intended for 2. June 2010.
  16. What a beautiful location for the cottage, which had everything you could want or expect and was very clean and well looked after. the owners iare a lovely friendly couple. May 2010.
  17. A lovely property, well equipped with a lovely bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Owners helpful and provide wood for the log burner at price per bag - remember to take firelighters and some kindling though, for after the initial fire, which is laid for you. March 2010.
  18. The cottage was very comfortable and cosy, especially considering the poor weather! Oct 2009.
  19. Absolutely stunning transformed barn , all original features. Sept 2009.
  20. Kitchen was well appointed with a good amount of utencils and cutlery. Bathroom was superb and modern, bath was brilliant as it was possible to be comfortable with two people in it! Comfy bedroom and good to have a tv in there with freeview. Sept 2009.
