Located in the village of Chillington, midway between the market town of Kingsbridge and the long pebble beach at Slapton Sands, this is a superb location for families wanting a holiday set in the heart of the South Hams region of South Devon, close to many wonderful beaches and glorious coastline. The village of Chillington enjoys excellent facilities, a public house, village hall, playing field, post office/general store, butchers, garage, hair dressing salon and a pottery. The South Hams has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its rolling hills, wooded river valleys, patchwork fields, sandy beaches, a spectacular coast line and small picturesque villages. There are ample opportunities to walk, sail, surf, windsurf, fish, ride and golf as virtually every sport and outdoor activity is well catered for. A few miles away is Slapton Sands, a 2 mile stretch of pebble beach, with the sea on one side and a fresh water lagoon on the inland side, making a nature reserve which attracts birds and wildlife. The South Hams enjoys one of the mildest climates in Britain, warmed by the Gulf Stream. Enjoy the varied sights, events and attractions that make the South Hams the ideal holiday venue for all ages, all year round. Shop and pub 200 yards.   2. Property was extremely well fitted out, beautiful kitchen and living space and the bedrooms were adequate. The garden and decking were lovely with fantastic views. There is a bus stop right outside which goes to Kingsbridge, Torcross and Dartmouth which means you can leave the car behind. The walk to Torcross/Slapton sands is lovely and most of it is off road. The village shops sells daily essentials but that is the only shop in the village. Sept 2012.
  3. We really enjoyed our stay at Meadow Mews. There were seven adults and two small children in our party. We had plenty of space and the kitchen/diner/lounge areas were excellent. For a peak Christmas week, we felt the property was good value. We were able to enjoy good food and see some of the lovely sights South Devon has to offer. Overall, a great week. Dec 2011.

  5. This is a very comfortable barn conversion with plenty of space downstairs to spread out. We had a family reunion of 9 adults, 3 children and a babe in arms and everyone loved the week’s holiday. The village is well placed for the whole of the South Hams district and there is plenty to do for all ages. July 2011.
  6. The Open Arms pub is a few hundred yards from Meadow Mews and serves excellent food and drink. Very friendly people. We were made more than welcome. July 2011.
  7. The kitchen/diner was spacious also the living area. Facing south gave us the sun. We were able to cater a full Christmas diner for 10 people with ease. Sept 2010.

  9. Absolutely fabulous property. Very modern. Extremely well equipped. Lovely touches like the Xmas tree. Very comfortable bedrooms and beds. I would thoroughly recommend it to any large groups of people. It was great to have so many bathrooms. The living space was very tastefully decorated, and there was ample space even for twelve people and our guests who came over for lunch. Good size cooking area, and spacious oven to cook xmas lunch in. Also lovely sized TV very important when watching final of Strictly Come Dancing. Please pass these comments on to the owners.
