This modern family cottage is set in charming countryside on a working farm, next to the owners’ property, in a quiet setting with a private swimming pool (6m x 4m, open May to Sep), and pretty garden. Just 600m away lies the medieval village of Mazan, with its famous château once belonging to the Marquis of Sade, as well as plenty of shops, restaurants and typical Provençal cafés.

This is the ideal base for visiting the area, including Carpentras with its weekly market and the Mont Ventoux, where from the summit one can enjoy superb views.

It is also ideal for ramblers, cyclists and wine lovers as it is not far from the famous Côte du Rhône region of Gigondas.

Small supermarket 300m, café/bar and restaurant 1km.

Lounge/kitchen/diner, shower room, separate toilet and basin, 1 double bedroom. First floor: 2 bedrooms; 1 double, 1 children’s bunk.

Electric central heating, all fuel and power included in rent May to September, €35 supplement October to April, bed linen and towels included in rent, cot, colour TV, DVD, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, barbecue, off road parking for 3 cars. One pet welcome.
NB: There is an unfenced pond near the property.

  1. The owners were extremely friendly and fortunately my husband could speak a little French. Would recommend location which is very close to many interesting and historic places, e.g. Avignon, Carpenteras, Mazan. Sept 2011.
  2. Situated in a quiet position on a small country road but with easy access to a well stocked supermarket and village. Good location for visits by car to Avignon, Orange, Mont Ventoux and the beautiful villages of the Luberon. Shaded patio eating area plus a pleasant, well maintained swimming pool at the rear of the adjacent owner’s property. Spacious dining area and a small but adequately equipped galley kitchen. Sept 2011.
  3. This holiday was a lovely relaxing one. The pool was clean, and there was a big tree by the pool which provided lots of shade. The house was big but there was ant problems! The pool is in the owners garden, (the owners garden is beside the house), but it still felt very private. There is a supermarket within walking distance and the town felt very "French" we really enjoyed this holiday, it was great value and we would definitely recommend it to others. July 2011.

  5. Despite the gite being on the owners property and next to their home, it felt very private and relaxing. As it’s tucked away from the main roads and a short distance from Mazan village centre it felt wonderfully rural. The peace and quiet was bliss. Jacqui greeted us on arrival and although she did not speak English (and my French is pretty bad) she made us feel very welcome. There was also a bottle of wine and home made jam on the kitchen table - a lovely touch. July 2009.
  6. The property was ideally situated for exploring the area and it was a pleasure to come back to in the late afternoon, go for a swim, cool down and have a glass of wine sitting in the swing seat well placed in the shade. June 2009.

  8. We couldn’t have picked a better property for our needs. Swimming pool a godsend at the end of the day to cool off in. Owners very kind with donations of fruit (figs from their trees and grapes from the vineyard. Great to be in the countryside but quite near to the village of Mazan with excellent restaurants and very good shops. We had an excellent holiday and would certainly visit again. Sept 2006.
