This attractive detached holiday cottage, part of which dates back to the 1700s sits high above the poplular market town of Bakewell in heart of the Peak Park. Just 1/2 mile from the town centre, on the steep road to Monyash, the cottage boasts a split level garden. Just a short drive to beautiful Dovedale, Monsal Head, Lathkill Dale, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Wonderful walks and cycle paths abound. Bakewell Golf Course, 1 mile, and horse riding, 1/2 mile. Shops and pubs/restaurants 1/2 mile.

Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. Sun room. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 twin, 1 double, both with wooden floors. Bathroom with corner bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Open fire and woodburner (initial fuel included). Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freeview TV. Video. DVD. Stereo/CD. Gas hob.   4. May Cottage is ideally arranged to be enjoyed in excellent weather (barbecue, sun lounge) and in terrible weather (log fire, cosy). Well furnished, well provisioned, good kitchen facilities. Good location less than half a mile from the centre of Bakewell. Bakewell is a great village well serviced with all kinds of shops, restaurants, bars and a good location from which to explore the Derbyshire Dales. June 2011.
