Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Everyone should go here at least once it is 1st class. Very good meal at white horse inn clunn. Nov 2012.
  2. A beautiful barn conversation, well equipped, spacious and comfortable, everything you could wish for in a beautiful area. The owner very nice, helpful but not intrusive, would recommend to anyone. The log fire proved excellent as the weather was poor for our visit. June 2012.
  3. Our second visit to Masher’s Barn, it’s lovely. We are not surprised it has been awarded the gold award, very well deserved. The owner is very nice and helpful, his housekeeper is also nice. We will definitely be going back again, a nice cosy little hideaway for anybody wanting to get away from it all! May 2012.
  4. This is first class accommodation ideal for those who like a complete break - a real stress buster. Should the weather take a turn for the worse the property is ideal to spend a day inside doors as you always have a wall of window to look through down the valley (as we did when it snowed one day). Cant recommend too highly. March 2012.
  5. Our 5th visit to Masher’s Barn since it opened in July 2010. Having holidayed in cottages across the UK for the past 10 years Masher’s is ’head and shoulders’ above anywhere else we’ve stayed. The accommodation, location, views, equipment, enclosed garden and walks from the front door are all first class. James, the owner, should be extremely proud of what he has achieved. The level of bookings speak for themselves. March 2012
  6. We had the most delightful week at this wonderful barn conversion, we didn’t want to leave!!! Our dog Ruby also loved being able to use the large, safely enclosed garden. The owner was helpful but unobtrusive. A Great success!! Jan 2011.
  7. Lovely downstairs shower room; good sized utility room to put in wet boots, dry off the dogs etc. Lovely wood burning log fire and free extra logs from the farmyard over the road. Welcome chocolates and wines on arrival. Lots of wooded walks nearby. Dec 2011.
  8. One year old barn conversion that is just superb. Oct 2011.
  9. Mashers Barn is beautiful and spacious and provides a very special place to live whilst discovering the lovely area which surrounds it. There is everything you need, furnishings and fittings are of a high quality and we were delighted to find that as well as a third toilet there was also a utility area at the entrance, with a second sink and a great area for dealing with wet clothes and dirty boots, which we hadn’t realised was there from the description and which might be useful for others to know about in advance. The mostly glazed southern side of the barn seems to draw the view of the nearby hills right inside. Much thought has gone into this conversion and the owner is helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. Everything was simply perfect. Aug 2011.
  10. The property and surroundings are ’extra special’. The best barn coversion we have experienced and value for money. July 2011.
  11. This is a the nicest cottage we have stayed in, it was our second time we have stayed in this cottage and it lived up to all we were expecting. The owner was more than helpful and the weather was great. This cottage will be hard to better, I think we will be back again next year. June 2011.
  12. Beautifully renovated barn conversion. All decoration, equipment and extras of a very high standard. Could live there permanently! June 2011.
  13. Masher’s Barn turns the dream of the idyllic country holiday cottage into reality. Fabulous barn conversion in a wonderful tranquil setting. March 2011.
  14. The barn had been renovated to a very high standard. The owner was not intrusive, the setting was perfect. Lovely views. The barn was very well equipped. March 2011.
  15. Extremely high quality finish, from the beautiful oak floors and doors, bathrooms, white fluffy Christy towels and Denby pottery. Central heating and lots of logs for the fire, owner pleasant and helpful but unobtrusive. Perfect! Feb 2011.
  16. We could not fault this property in any way. It was built, equipped and decorated to an extremely high standard. Dec 2010.
  17. Spacious, light, very warm (it was snowy the entire time we were there!). Dec 2010.
  18. The open plan living of the downstairs was extremely enjoyable and the wood burner a real bonus. Light, spacious and yet cosy. Dec 2010.
  19. Everything was of a very high standard. Dec 2010.
  20. We have stayed in more than 25 holiday cottages/barns over the last 6 years and Masher’s Barn has gone straight to No.1 in our charts! The high quality of finish to the whole conversion together with high quality furniture and fittings, plus the superb location, large secure garden made it perfect for us. Nov 2010.
