3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Enjoying a beautiful waterfront location, these three holiday properties (refs CBBH, CBBJ and CYY) have their own private mooring and superb views over the River Thurne and a National Trust wildlife reserve (which featured in the BBC1 TV series Secret Britain). Ferry View, standing detached, and Heigham View, one of a pair, offer spacious accommodation for larger groups and have a first floor balcony where guests can take in the abundant birdlife. They each have a games room with full size snooker and table tennis tables; Heigham View additionally has the benefit of a second sitting room/games room with 65in 3D TV with blue-ray/DVD and surround sound. Ferry Cottage is a detached, two-bedroomed property with rooms all on the ground floor. All offer the very best in waterside living. For the fisherman, this part of the Broads offers some of the best coarse fishing anywhere in the UK (fishing licence required). For the nature enthusiast, everything is on the doorstep - walking and cycling can be enjoyed along a network of quiet lanes and the river and the Broads can be explored by boat, which can be hired directly from the owner. Winterton-on-Sea is a short drive away with its wonderful sandy beach and dunes. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the north beach is home to a colony of grey seals.
The BeWILDerwood Outdoor Adventure Park at Horning offers treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and more - all adding up to a great day out for children. The fine city of Norwich with its cathedrals, castle, museums, theatre and vast array of cafes and shops is half an hour away. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area, which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park (one of the finest Jacobean houses in East Anglia), the beautifully landscaped Sheringham Park and the magnificent Blickling Hall with its woodland and lakeside walks. Horsey Wind Pump is only 3 miles away (and a good destination for a boat trip).
For a special meal or family celebration a gourmet meal can be arranged with the owner. There are shops and pubs in the village 1 mile away.

  2. Very spacious, very well equipped and clean and tidy. Excellent games room. Comfortably housed four famillies. Close to Great Yarmouth and Norwhich for day trips out. Only 20 minites walk into the town which has a co-op butchers chinese take-away and pub. Would definitely recommend The Bridge Inn at Acle for exellent food and value. July 2012.
  3. Our party numbered 12 with ages ranging from 7 - 80. The property was comfortable, spacious and very clean. The balconies overlooking the river were lovely on the very few moments of good weather we had during the first week of June but the games room was a godsend during a very cool, windy week. We also enjoyed watching the jubilee pageant on the TV. Safety handles would be our suggestion in the bathrooms for the elderly but a big plus in the bedrooms was the amount of storage space. This is a really lovely property and we will certainly book it again. June 2012.

Well up to the standard expected from your company - very friendly and welcoming owner, who was available ever day to give local advice and to attend to minor defects as reported by my group of ten senior people - our experience was enhanced by having done a three night pre holiday visit to the area to plan days out and places to visit depending on the weather - the owner has three well appointed day boats for hire, which proved a popular experience on the one suitable day during our stay. Given the poor weather during our stay the property was warm and cosy, with no need to light the wood burning stove. April 2012.
  6. A great place where the weather can’t spoil your holiday. Make sure that you bring your own snooker/pool cues and table tennis bats/balls to get the best out of the brilliant games room. Bring a sailing dinghy if you’ve got one! Fishing is good and cheap in the pits which are 5 minutes walk from the cottage. The cooking facilities are really good, but more big saucepans would help with a large group. Views from the lounge and balcony are a real treat for city folks. This is an exceptional property.   7. Great spacious place with plenty to do if the weather outside is bad. The kings arm pub is only a 15 minute walk away and the owners couldn’t be anymore friendly or helpful so well worth a visit. March 2012.

  10. The accommodation could’nt have been any better for our new year celebrations, all of us enjoyed being together. Kids and adults enjoyed the games room full sized snooker table was great! Loved a walk along river new years day to see the wild life the otter was seen early one morning while one of us were out on the balcony fishing! Overall it was the best break our group have had together and we have been going away together for 3 years now, will have to come in summer. Can recommend a trip to Southwold about an hours drive away but well worth it lovely peir and town. Dec 2011.

  12. What a fantastic house! Ten of us had a really wonderful weekend to celebrate a birthday and very special wedding anniversary. Weather was brilliant so we spent a great deal of our weekend on the balcony (including a fantastic view of the stars at night). We had a great day out on a boat hired from the house owner.   13. Ferry View is everything it promises as a holiday destination. We were a mixed party of teenagers, parents, grannies and friends. The teenagers spent most of their down time in the well-equipped games room, while the adults were upstairs enjoying the kitchen and balcony. We had a wonderful day on the beach at Winterton: apart from that we were on the water every day. We know the Broads well, so had deliberately chosen to be close to good sailing on Hickling and Horsey: an excellent hired picnic boat from the next door boatyard meant we could all participate. If you fancy a fairly gentle introduction to Boards sailing, hire a half decker from Martham Boats! July 2011.

  17. The fact that the property and the surrounding area were shown on "Secret Britain" whilst we were in occupation made it extremely interesting. The area is very quiet and unspoilt and the people at the neighbouring boatyard were helpful and friendly. The ages ranged from 7 to 76 and we were all well satisfied. Aug 2010.
  18. The quiet location. Spacious living and sleeping areas. Balcony for its view. The games room made it for us with 3 children (up to teenager) and adults when it was hailing hard! Didn’t matter what happened to the weather.and of course a spacious laundry/washing/ironing room.
