Set in a lovely original farm setting with antique machinery, farm animals, arts and crafts, childrens play area, a restaurant and a picnic area set alongside a river. Slightly further afield are the famous small towns of Long Melford, a haven for antique hunters, and famous for Kentwell and Long Melford Halls. The medieval old wood town of Lavenham is also worth a visit as is Constable Country and the Dedham Vale. Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. We had a lovely time in this lovely house, celebrating my birthday with friends. Woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the sea and watched it go down over the golg course. A beautiful location with a lovely walk to the pub, cafe and seafood stall. The house is very comfortable with plenty of seating space for 6 adults. The kitchen is well equipped. There are lots of books and games for amusement. We would love to return, for longer next time. March 2012.
  2. Thank you for a lovely weekend, celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday. Our daughter lives nearby so this is why we chose this area. We have fallen in love with Felixstowe. Nov 2011.
  3. Very quiet location with good views all round. Very close to the sea and a short walk from a terrific fresh fish shop at the end of the quay (smoked prawns - yum). Also a very friendly pub with good food (lots of fish). A good spot for a weekend break. Oct 2011.
  4. A wonderful cottage in an interesting and peaceful environment. We had a glorious time and hope to go again. July 2011.
  5. Beautiful peaceful area, lovely clean welcoming home with fantastic sunset views (weather permitting). In the evening, with a glass if wine on the balcony, it’s lovely watching ships and boats come and go, to and from the distant port at night. At the ’local’, The Ferryboat Inn, the food is overated and overpriced compared to some really nice pub restaurants, we ate here three times, food is average, but decent enough. All in all a lovely place to stay. June 2011.
  6. A very pleasant situation. The fishermans arms an excellent place to eat. Nearest shops is at Felixstowe couple of miles away no local shop for milk etc. If you want a peaceful holiday with lots of walks it is ideal. Also plenty of interesting places to visit. May 2011.
  7. The property worked well for us. My wife and I visit Felixstowe Ferry many weekends a year, and have done for dozens of years. We go sailing and stay on a Houseboat, but with the rest of our family also coming for Easter, we needed to rent a bigger place. April 2011.
  8. Lovely property, a stone’s throw from the beach and very well-equipped. The main bedroom is fantastic but the downstairs double bed is not so comfortable and doesn’t have as nice bedding. It’s a really lovely place though. March 2011.
  9. The accomodation was wonderful we could not fault it. It was like home from home. We liked the walks and the views. Hope to visit again. Nov 2010.

  13. It provided everything we needed and more!, such as handwash, household cleaning products etc, pegs an iron even ice cubes in the freezer. It really was home from home. Aug 2009.
  14. The location of the property is excellent, in a small hamlet with good local facilities and lots of nearby attractions whether you like it busy or quiet. . Its a very spacious property, with lots of light and very relaxing. They had heaps of information about local attractions and it is well stocked with books, cds and games for wet weather days. It has everything you need and the location is just fabulous. We’ve already been twice and can’t wait to go again. Aug 2009.

  17. We loved the spaciousness and unique character of this cottage. It was well equipped and well furnished. Wonderful quirky location , excellent choice of Pubs and we discovered the Ferry Cafe is infamous for its fare. We just wish we could have stayed a little bit longer. May 2008.
  18. The accommodation was excellent, the location superb whether you just want a relaxing week right on the sea front with two lovely pubs minutes walk away or to explore Suffolk. Also if you are a dog owner it is the most dog friendly place that we have been to. All in all makes a lovely holiday. Aug 2008.
