It has a large terrace and gazebo for relaxing and enjoying the views over the garden, and the sunny conservatory is ideal for dining and entertaining. A rural location, yet central to Bath, Bristol and Wells, it makes an ideal base from which to enjoy countryside walks and explore the many sights this area has to offer. Nearby Keynsham has a market every month and many interesting shops to visit. There is a walking route that has many mosaics explaining the town’s rich history from Prehistoric, Roman and Medieval times. The great outdoors has much to offer from the River Avon Trail that takes in the idyllic scenes of the river, or the Community Forest Path expands 45 miles of terrific countryside treasures. Visit the magnificent buildings of Bristol Cathedral founded in 1140, or perhaps take a look at Bath Abbey, founded in the 7th century. For the magic of steam travel, climb aboard one of the locomotives and journey along the Avon Valley. Visit the medieval city of Wells with its historic centre, the magnificent cathedral, and the unique moated Bishop’s Palace. Close by, explore the beauty of the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Kilver Court Gardens and Glastonbury Abbey and Tor. Travel a little further afield to discover the Somerset coast with the pier at Weston-Super-Mare, Fleet Air Arm Museum at Ilchester and many National Trust and English Heritage properties. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
