Property Description

This farmhouse, situated in a very quiet, sleepy village ’off the beaten track’, has been carefully converted by the owners. The area is a comfortable drive from the western Loire châteaux (Angers, Saumur, Chinon, Montreuil-Bellay), and an excellent touring base to explore the vineyards of the Loire Valley, the waterways of the Marais Poitevin or Fontevraud Abbey. Visit the recreational lake (5km), a golf course at Roiffé (36km), Futuroscope Park at Poitiers (60km), and ’Son et Lumière’ at the Puy du Fou theme park. The house is set in an enclosed garden, with a lawn, trees and flowers, and a shaded terrace. The holiday property is spacious and is furnished in a comfortable French style. The owners sometimes occupy a small house to the rear of the property, but have their own private garden and sitting-out area. A converted outhouse is now a summer kitchen, with a large open fire and barbecue, small fridge, a sink, a large table and benches, and ample shade in which to enjoy meals.
