Property Description

Just 3 miles from Lake Windermere, between Loughrigg Tarn and Elterwater, with glorious views of Langdale Valley, this superb apartment is set in private grounds of fine trees and a small tarn forms part of a holiday complex. There is use of a shared, small indoor heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi and sauna in a leisure building with table tennis (open first Saturday in March until second Saturday in November). A laundry room is available all year round. Ambleside 3 miles. Boating on Coniston and Windermere. Railway station at Windermere 8 miles. Shops 2½ miles, pub/restaurant ½ mile.

External stairs to first floor: Small hall leads to spacious living room Fully fitted kitchen area. Double bedroom with king size bed. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

  1. Lovely peaceful location with great local walks, apartment was very comfortable for 3, also enjoyed the pool and the table tennis. TV signal was unreliable but other than that no problems. Owners seemed to have gone to a lot of trouble to help their guests enjoy their stay. April 2012.
  2. The accommodation provided everything that we required in a beautiful setting and we were lucky enough to have wonderful weather aswell. The added bonus of being able to use the pool and jacuzzi proved an asset. July 2011.
  3. Location is great, and the small pool and games room was an added bonus. The grounds had a picnic area, and fantastic views. The apartment had no outside space apart from a smal balcony. April 2011.
  4. The apartment was ideal except that the car parking was a little way away and the steps steep but we were an old threesome. The complex reminded me of long ago centre parcs holidays with my grandchildren as despite the proximity of other dwellings there was a distinctly rural feel and the other dwellings seemed unobtrusive. The area was unbeatable and Ambleside excellent for shopping and eating out but we did find the Lake District very crowded considering it was very early April. But overall it was one of the nicest most convenient holiday lets that we have had. April 2011.

  16. Really great property of a very high standard. Having visited Langdale many times I had no idea the complex was there and was stunned at how well it blended into the scenery. The location of it is fantastic for getting up and down the valley and in and out of Ambleside. Altogether a fantastic property. Feb 2008.
  17. The lodge is excellently furnished, and located very well for the southern lakes. It was very useful to have a lot of information on the area, walks etc. We were very comfortable and very much welcomed the ’basic’ provisions in the lodge, and the welcome bottle of wine! March 2007.
