Property Description

Set in hills high above Nice, with views through the trees to the Mediterranean from the outdoor pool and garden at the front, and stunning uninterrupted views from the back garden to the mountains. The house is situated on a small private domain, a 2km climb from the north of the city, along winding well-maintained roads. The front garden is pretty, mature and peaceful; and to the back of the property is a large terrain shaded by trees with a boules pitch and a backdrop of mountains. The house is cool with an authentic French atmosphere, built on one level with an open fire in the lounge and an enclosed verandah with additional kitchen facilities overlooking the paved and flower-filled garden. The holiday property is a 5-minute drive from shops and restaurants, and the cosmopolitan city of Nice is 10 minutes away - visit the old lanes and markets or the bustling newer quarters. From the north of Nice, there are excellent links to villages in the mountains, or to join motorway links to travel along the coast of the Côte d’Azur. Car hire is highly recommended at this property.

  1. The property stands up a steep winding mountain above Nice. The view is breathtaking. I would not recommend it for children or elderly folk. The owner was charming and helpful. June 2012.
  2. It was a most beautiful environment. Well looked after. The owner was friendly & helpful. The one draw back was that access was difficult without a car & taxis were very expensive and difficult to book. Aug 2011.
  3. A nice property in a good location, with great views to Nice and the sea from the front, and the hills and mountains to the rear. The owner was pleasant and helpful. A pleasant and quiet location but near enough to Nice, Monaco and the coast to make trips out easy. It was let down by the fact that the gardens need to be better maintained, they are a bit overgrown; and only one set of bedding was provided for the whole fortnight. Saying that it’s one of very few properties I would be happy to go back to. June 2011.

  5. The view! Lovely private pool and generally relaxed but friendly and helpful attitude of the owner (including free charcuterie on arrival)really made the holiday.
