Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The owner welcomed us to Lock Cottage with home made cake on arrival which was a lovely start to our holiday in a beautiful cottage. Everything had been thought of and the cottage was well equipped. The games and toys were a hit with the younger members of our group. There were lovely riverside walks from the door or beaches a short drive away both of which our dogs enjoyed. The suggestions for eating out came in handy and didnt disappoint. June 2012.
  2. The property was excellently appointed. We went with 6 adults, 2 just walking babies and a 3 year old. It had everything that one could need even down to providing toys for the children to play with. The outstanding hit was the playroom/sitting room where the children could entertain themselves with little supervision in complete safety. The outside area is spacious and secure with gas barbeque provided. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating and made sure everything was ready for us, even suggesting we use Sainsbury’s home delivery, which we made use of. We all had a very pleasant time, even though the weather was a bit iffy. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. May 2012.
  3. Great for bird watching - an unexpected pleasure. Feb 2012.
  4. We thought Lock Cottage was extremely comfortable and spacious, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are into wildlife, the Barn Owls were superb and at all times of the day. Would certainly come again. Sept 2011.

  6. The location is superb, the use of the canoe very welcome (life vests can be hired from The Canoe Man down the road), and the display from the birds on the wetland next door is fantastic. From ages 82 to 11 everyone had a fantastic time. Coffee and home made cake on arrival were very welcome. Aug 2011.
  7. This was our second visit, having had a fabulous time last October. The cottage is very welcoming & homely with lots of added touches to make it special. The indoor & outdoor spaces make it very versitile as we travel with three generations and two greyhounds. Local for many dog friendly beaches including; Wells, Holkham & Cart Gap, Happisburgh. Good eating at the Black Boys, Aylsham and Kings Head, Letheringsett. July 2011.
