  1. Farther from pubs and shop than we thought so make sure you have food and wine! Lovely and warm - great heating! Pretty view from conservatory. Wonderfully quiet at night. Weather fair for time of year visited. Oct 2012.
  2. A very nice holiday and cottage, but this was the first cottage where we’ve had to strip the beds before leaving and weren’t provided with a welcome pack. Also lacking a freezer/freezer compartment. Sept 2012.
  3. Clean, comfortable well equipped cottage with views to die for. June 2012.
  4. The house was warm and cosy with excellent loch views and opportunities to see plenty of wildlife. There were walks in the area, but sadly no pub or restaurant within walking distance. Plenty to do on the Cowal Peninsula. We would definately return. June 2012.
  5. Great conservatory red squirels, porpoise seals and oyster catchers paid a visit, very relaxing. April 2012.
  6. Excellent position, superb views from conservatory, excellent local walks. Well placed for touring. Red squirrels in garden. April 2012.
  7. Lochside is a lovely little property, in a very beautiful and peaceful location. Lochside is home from home with everything you need for your stay, but the views are much better!! Theres plenty to see and do in the area, if you like walking try puck fell, theres some nice little walks there. For food the Whistlefield Inn is very nice, try the steak pie!! The weather was good for the week i stayed. I would happily stay at Lochside again. March 2012.
  8. A pleasant cottage overlooking a beautiful loch. Red squirrels in the gardens and seals in the water. Bliss for those seeking peace and quiet - not for those seeking noise and action! April 2011.
  9. Accommodation very clean and cosy. Conservatory excellent with great views looking over Loch Long. Feb 2011.
  10. Location, the conservatory was wonderful. Lovely quiet area, lots of wonderful wildlife. We were very comfortable. Watch out for porpoise in the loch, binoculars a must. Aug 2010.
  11. Lochside is one of the cleanest properties we have stayed in and smelt beautiful on arrival. Kitchen was not as big as it looked on the photo but was fine for our needs. The location is fantastic and along with the views from the conservatory, this was a special holiday. Aug 2010.
  12. Great location, excellent views from the conservatory, excellent parking facilities. July 2010.
  13. It was a very well equipped, cosy cottage with a terrific view from the conservatory. It was very quiet, peaceful and consequently very relaxing. Home from home. June 2010.
  14. Cleanliness of cottage was excellent with extra effort been put in by cleaning staff, conservatory is a big bonus overlooking the loch. June 2010.
  15. The conservatory was a great place to sit and watch the wildlife go by, we could have sat there all the time. It gave wonderful view over the loch to the naval base cleverly hidden on the photos, which when the wildlife was absent ensured there was always some activity on the loch worth observing. May 2010.
  16. The conservatory makes your holiday very special as looking over the loch was so relaxing and peaceful. March 2010.
  17. Absolutely stunning property and views. Very clean and well managed/maintained property. March 2010.
  18. The location and sun lounge giving wonderful views over the loch. Aug 2009.
  19. The best feature of the property was, without doubt, the conservatory, which was also the dining room, and where we spent as much time as possible when we were in the cottage just watching from the windows. There was a view looking over Loch Long which was always interesting in all the different lights of the weather and the day. All the other rooms were extremely tastefully furnished and decorated too.. Our accommodation was first class in every way. It was clean, well-appointed, well looked-after, had everything we needed for the stay and the BEST view from the conservatory window! Aug 2009.
  20. Make sure you take a pair of binoculars. May 2009.
