Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. We absolutely loved staying in the cottage, the views are amazing, location is superb. Lovely wood fire, great kitchen, we will come again! Jan 2012.
  2. Great location and scenery. Quiet and peaceful which made for a very relaxing experience. Terrific walks around the neighbouring countryside. Be sure to stock up well on food and other necessities as the nearest shops are six miles away in Dolgellau. Aug 2011.
  3. This is an amazing farmhouse that the photos on the website cannot do justice too. Having three sitting rooms make it easy to get some peace and quiet even if the house is full and it is really well stocked with glasses and crockery, plenty enough for eight. It is brilliant if you want to enjoy the quiet of the Welsh countryside and has pleasant walks including the Aran ridge from door. Not so good if you want to be near the pub or shops! It’s location is fairly central and it is less than an hour’s drive to Harlech and Porthmadog, with Coed-y-Brenin, Bala, Barmouth and Fairbourne all being much closer. The garden is completely enclosed which was perfect for the small children (2 and 3 years old) and the dog! April 2011.
  4. The house was warm, welcoming and clean. The owners replaced a broken TV promptly. Access to a landline enabled family to ring in. Kitchen had basic material available for use. ie dishwasher tablets cloths etc. Oct 2010.
  5. Warm and welcoming. Large rooms. Excellent response to problem. Wonderful location. Prepared to accommodate requests. Nov 2010.
  6. Comfortable and spacious. Nov 2010.
  7. Nice location, good views, plenty of room for three couples and kids, without falling over one another. Choice of two tv rooms and one without. Great accommodation. Walks available from the property, wildlife all around. Aug 2010.
  8. Great location and spacious. July 2010.
  9. The property was in a lovely secluded position with fantastic views. Feb 2010.
  10. It was spacious and had everything we needed. it was a lovely place to spend Christmas. We loved the log fire, and Stanley the cooker, don’t be put of by this!! The owners were very helpful. The only problem we encountered was being snowed in!! I felt there should have been access to get out of the cottage in case of emergency. Dec 2009.
  11. Well furnished, spacious accommodation. The only way to cook is to use the Stanley - similar to an Aga. One plus point with this, everything cooks so quickly. Put wet washing in the kitchen overnight and all dry the next morning. Nov 2009.
  12. Well maintained, appointed and equipped. Great site, very helpful and friendly owner. Oct 2009.
  13. Excellent first appearance, good car-parking facility and welcoming first impressions due to entrance. Had no contact with owner or caretaker, which is no problem as far as we were concerned. Do recommend an extra method of cooking to Stanley Range. Aug 2009.
  14. As our party consisted of age ranges from 3 to 81 years old and the space available for different interests was excellent. Very spacious and excellent shower/toilet facilities. ( 1 up and 1 down). Aug 2009.
  15. We liked its location, peace and tranquility, great views. Comfortable accommodation and catered for all needs. Friendly/helpful owner. Sept 2009.
  16. A lovely house, much more spacious than expected, but still cosy, we particularly liked having two lounges, the one overlooking the valley is the most peaceful room I’ve been in for ages. The house and its location were perfect for us and our little dog, beautiful walks from just outside the door. May 2009.
  17. The cottage was very homely, clean and comfortable, and the views of surrounding Welsh farmland are spectacular. April 2008.
  18. A fantastic location with open fields nearby and easy access to lots of different things to do, even out of season. Very spacious accommodation which was good for two families to share. Feb 2008.
  19. The location of the property was fantastic with beautiful scenery all around with a pretty wood and waterfall just behind the house. My elderly mother was able to enjoy a lovely short walk. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Sept 2008.
  20. No problems with this cottage, this is the second time we have visited and will certainly be returning. The owners are lovely helpful people, nothing is a trouble to them. A big thank you to them. Nov 2007.
