These delightful holiday apartment and cottage, adjacent to the owner’s property, are set in the historic conservation village of Ceres, which is only 7 miles from St Andrews with its famous old course and magnificent beaches. Ceres is ideally placed in the centre of North East Fife and provides an ideal base to explore and enjoy the best of what Fife has to offer. Located in the heart of the village, St Cyr Cottage (ref: 29615), is a second floor apartment ideal for 4 people and Little Paddock Cottage (ref: 29616) is all on the ground floor, the perfect base for two people with a cosy living room which leads to a private decked, sunny courtyard, ideal for relaxing in. From the front door there are excellent footpaths and cycling or visit the Fife Folk Museum, only a 5-minute walk away. The National Trust Hill of Tarvit mansion house and gardens are only 1 mile from Ceres, and offer a unique golfing experience over a 9-hole course using traditional ‘hickery clubs’, or enjoy the multitude of fine golf courses close by, suitable for all abilities. The village has a good pub and a hotel serving food, two tea rooms, an antique shop, a family butchers, village store and the renowned Wemyss Ware Pottery. Ceres hosts Scotland’s oldest free highland games, this is a week long programme of events culminating in the Highland games on the last Saturday in June. Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth are all within an hour’s drive. These properties are close to the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles and Dunhill Championship at St. Andrews, which both take place in September. St Cyr Cottage and Little Paddock Cottage can be booked together to accommodate up to 6 guests and are ideal for 2 families or friends alike who wish to holiday together but still have some privacy.
