This is a wildlife haven where visitors are free to roam. A well stocked lake and pond provide coarse fishing free to guests. Hereford, Malvern, Gloucester, Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham and the ancient Forest of Dean are all within an easy drive. The pretty black and white market town of Ledbury - winner of Britain in Bloom and host to the renowned poetry festival each year - is 3 miles away. Walks from the doorstep. Shops 3 miles, pub serving food 2 miles.

Three steps to entrance (level access at rear). Large entrance hall. Spacious living room with open fire. Elegant dining room with large window overlooking courtyard garden. Large well-equipped modern kitchen with A-frame beams and range-master stove, ceramic-tiled floor and French doors to garden. Double bedroom with zip and link beds. Shower room with toilet. First floor: Three pretty beamed double bedrooms; one with zip & link beds, and two with en-suite shower room and toilet. Pretty beamed twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet.

  2. The house was comfortable and tastefully decorated and furnished, very well equipped, with some thoughtful extras such as cupboards of games for the children. The owner had thought of everything. The grounds were great for the children, and we also appreciated the privacy of a very pretty courtyard garden. The tea tray and home made cake on arrival was such a lovely personal touch, and the owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful area, with information provided on walks for every level of difficulty, as well as many local attractions. All in all it was a very successful holiday. June 2012.
  3. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Swallow Barn. The weather was terrible, rain every day, but this in no way dampened our spirits or holiday experience. The house was home-from-home, everything worked perfectly. Despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves exploring the grounds, from walking, fishing to kicking a ball around, and trying to retrieve it from the lake. The owner was extremely helpful and pleasant. Ledbury and the surrounding area were a total surprise, as we had not visited this area previously. Overall, a fab time had by all. April 2012.

The downstairs bedroom was essential for our 2 oldest relatives which was one reason we chose Swallow Barn. Everything else about it was excellent - the setting, the house and all its rooms, tea tray and home baked cake for our arrival, cleanliness and a very helpful owner. We had a wonderful holiday.
