Situated in the owners’ 2 acre grounds which includes an orchard, this attractive, beamed, spacious detached first floor studio property is accessed via external oak open tread stairs. It is wonderfully finished with a balcony off the living area affording countryside views and conveniently set back from the A28. Historic 1066 country waits to be explored including Battle, Hastings and the ancient Cinque Port town of Rye with its plethora of cobbled streets. Also visit Bodiam, Sissinghurst Gardens, Great Dixter and Batemans. Take a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Railway, or why not fly to Le Touquet in France for the day from Lydd Airport. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

  17. The studio accommodation is charming and of the highest standard. This is an outstanding location for a restful holiday. A must for garden lovers with Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, Batemans and Chatwell all within easy reach - plus a few lesser known gems to which your friendly hosts will direct you. The medieval town of Rye is 20 minutes away with great pubs and restaurants. A great value holiday. June 2007.
