Approached by an impressive driveway flanked by trees, these converted former stables buildings occupy a picturesque setting in the grounds of the Georgian Grade II listed Blyth View, once serving as a workhouse. Both holiday properties and adjoining cottages enjoy an elevated position above the Blyth Valley. Surrounded by open countryside, it makes a tranquil setting, yet the Suffolk Heritage Coast, and the towns of Southwold and Walberswick are a mere 10 minutes’ drive. Dunwich, Minsmere bird reserve, Aldeburgh and Snape, all within ½-hour drive. Pub and shop ¾ mile.

Twin bedroom, each bed with additional pull-out bed (for + 1). Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

  18. On arrival the cottage was immaculate, it felt like it had never been used before. The rooms where spacious, very clean and to a high spec. The location was lovely surrounded by fields of bluebells. It was a short distance to the beach and the indoor swimming pool was brilliant and well heated. The house was very accessible and ideal for children under the age of 1 (we had two with us!) with travel cot, stair gates, toys, high chair and books for children this cottage had more than we needed. Ideal for a family holiday, we would highly recommend this cottage and the owners who were extremely helpful. May 2009.
