Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. We were welcomed by very friendly owners, Liz and Chris, and a nice gift awaited us on arrival. The property is quiet, comfortable and in very good clean order. Though down a numbers of lanes the cottage is easily accessible and convenient for Sussex towns and villages. The weather was very poor when there and so towels did not dry easily. Extra towels during the week would be an advantage. July 2012.
  2. Library Cottage was just right for two people, cosy, quiet with a lovely little garden. Would return when visiting Brighton again. April 2012.
  3. Ideal country setting, convenient for visiting local attractions but near enough to a small town for food shopping. Considerate and helpful owners. Sept 2011.
  4. The property is in very picturesque surroundings and is in excellent condition and extremely well presented and equipped and the hosts were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. July 2011.
  5. We had a warm welcome from the owners & Library cottage was light & airy with a lovely garden to look out on. The bed was excellent as i slept very well away from home. Access is through narrow county lanes away from main roads, very peaceful. Very good holiday. July 2011.
  6. Perfect place to de-stress. July 2011.
  7. What a treasure we have found! Wonderful cottage to stay in, beautiful lovingly tended gardens, and in a superb location - Very peaceful and pretty. The cottage is very light, clean and well appointed, with much thought put into it. The bed is beautifully comfortable. Very nice touches were added, several pretty posies of flowers, wine, delicious home made cakes for our arrival, lettuce from the garden and a jar of home made marmalade. There was also some tea, coffee, sugar and muesli to start off the week. The library of books is so extensive and wide ranging that one could have spent the whole week reading! Liz and Chris are such lovely people and gave us a warm welcome and were there for us if we needed them. July 2011.
  8. The property looked out over a beautiful garden and was full of fascinating books! There was a wonderful welcome basket of goodies awaiting me - homemade bread, cake and marmalade, strawberries and salad from the garden, apple juice and wine. I was made to feel extremely welcome and also given good tips about local places of interest. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and hope to return some day. You just need a little imagination to cope with the limitations of a Baby Belling! May 2011.
  9. We received a very warm welcome to the property and the owners gave us some super ideas of local walks. We really didn’t want to leave. April 2011.
  10. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and the welcome pack of home made baking and conserve plus a bottle of wine was much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage’s private garden was beautifully tended. It was an excellent centre for exploring the area and the publicity material available in the cottage was extensive and up to date. April 2011.
  11. Very comfortable and well equipped and very friendly and helpful owners. Oct 2010.
  12. The cottage was very clean and very well furnished without being in the least cluttered and in very good taste. We felt at home especially with such very pleasant hosts. Oct 2010.
  13. Cosy cottage, great garden for use by guests. Made to feel very comfortable and welcome by owners. Special touches eg. fresh flowers in vase, home-made cake and bread rolls on arrival. Well-equipped cottage. Sept 2010.
  14. Peaceful location. Sept 2010.
  15. Comfortable bed and plenty of marvellous books to read! Sept 2010.
  16. Light and airy. June 2010.
  17. Good sized bathroom, liked vaulted ceiling and french doors leading out to the garden, which was very pretty and well tended. Situated next to the main house and slightly overlooked from it. Accommodation all on one level, so ideal for infirm, elderly or disabled. May 2010.
  18. Good bed, lovely outlook, plenty of room, tight but adequate kitchen, smazing range of books to browse, very friendly and helpful hosts. April 2010.
  19. Property was secluded and well presented. The enclosed garden is beautiful and the cottage is well proportioned and bright. Oct 2009.
  20. Very clean, comfortable and beautifully presented. The owners were a delight. I loved the basket of freshly picked fruit and vegetables, and as a base the cottage was in a great position to discover that part of England. I really enjoyed my four days there. Oct 2009.
