This detached villa is on the outskirts of Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire, a typically French village close to the borders of the Dordogne and Haute Vienne. The house is set in 9 acres of land and looks out over the private fishing lake, which along with several varieties of fish, is regularly stocked with carp.

Limoges, famous for its porcelain and china products is 31 miles (52km) drive, and now has an airport, is worth a visit and the village of Oradour, a monument to the Second World War are both within easy driving distance.

The property is spacious and well equipped and includes a ‘salle de jeux’ with a pool table, a ‘salle de sport’ with an impressive Jacuzzi, sauna and gym and a private swimming pool (heated on request at supplement) with paved area.

Shop 255 yards (250m), café/bar and restaurant 3 miles (5km).

Ground floor: Lounge/diner, kitchen, utility room, bathroom with separate shower and 2 basins (no toilet), separate toilet, 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin. First floor: Second lounge, shower room with toilet and basin, 3 bedrooms, 2 double, 1 adult bunk plus single, double sofa bed in second lounge.

Gas central heating, open fire in lounge, cot, highchair, colour satellite TV, DVD player, video, stereo/CD, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, lawned garden, patio, garden furniture, barbecue, ample off road parking. Sorry, no pets. NB: Stone spiral steps to first floor. Property located on a working farm, lake close by.

  9. We returned to this property in June after first visiting in October last year, the weather was not perfect all the time but the gym and fishing lake made up for the temporary lack of sun. Once again the house was spotless and everything was provided for a perfect holiday. May 2009.

  11. If you want a relaxing holiday, yet have plenty to do if necessary, then this place is for you. Ideal for families of all ages. Good weather helps, but is not a necessity. Friendly hosts - nothing too much trouble. Would definitely like to go again. Aug 2008.

  13. The accommodation, equipment and facilities available were much better than the details posted on the website indicated.The property’s photo does not do it justice. The property was excellent for our childrens ages ranges 9-18yrs, with facilities for all. We did not want to leave! Perhaps it would be best not to tell anyone else how good it is - it can become a "best kept secret" only known to those who have stayed there already. July 2007.
