Access to the property via steps up from the pavement take you directly to your private sun terrace and patio. From here and from within ‘Les Farinettes’ you can enjoy stunning views over the Luberon Hills. Ménerbes is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Nearby are the beautiful villages of Lacoste, Bonnieux, and Gordes. This property is an ideal spot to relax in whilst still enjoying all that Provence has to offer.

Location: 200m from restaurants, grocers, bakery and bar, 15km E of Cavaillon (Roman remains, theatre, restaurants), 20km W of Apt (all facilities, Saturday market, pedestrianised old quarter), 30km E of Avignon (summer festival, Papal Palace).

  3. Excellent location a few minutes walk into the beautiful medieval village of Menerbe, with a good grocers, butcher & bakery, restaurants (one highly regarded in the region) & cafe. Very delightful owner of the cottage who is welcoming & helpful & informative. Lots of places to visit,from small ancient hilltop villages to cities eg Avignon & Aix en Provence. A charming modern and light apartment on the edge of the village of Menerbes, just a very few minutes walk from good food shops and restaurants and yet with a feeling of space and good views over the valley. We particularly liked our three terraces which all had good views and provided sun and shade at different times of the day, although we could have done with a bit more shade at lunchtimes. The owners next door were very friendly and welcoming. We used the pool in their garden a couple of times but tended to stick to our own terraces most of the time. July 2011.
  5. Prior visitors’ comments on the website are very accurate: this is an excellent rental in the village of Menerbe itself. The owners Francoise & Michel were wonderful - pleasant and interested and were not put off by our poor grasp of their language. I also agree that the small bedroom area was really the only negative - unable to open window as it had no screen and insects would fly in - and only a fan to improve some element of air flow in this cramped space. I would add that the bed is more than a tad ’firm.’ Neither of these two issues would deter me from returning as this is a perfect location to tour the villages of the Luberon. June 2011.

  8. A first-rate base for a stay in Provence. A choice of restaurants in the very attractive hilltop village of Menerbes within a two-minute walk. The apartment is well-equipped, nicely furnished and comfortable - with plenty of space for eating and relaxing on the private terrace outside. The hosts, are attentive, informative, helpful and hospitable. Highly recommended. June 2010.

  11. Accommodation was very good, Bedroom can get very very hot during summer nights, making it quite uncomfortable to sleep. But location is wonderful and owners are very helpful and friendly! Swimming pool was ok, but it’s located right at the door step of owners house! But had a wonderful time and is a good property. Fantastic location, and with beautiful views of the valley. Our village was wonderful and just a few minutes walk from cottage! Owners were very friendly ! But be aware that you will have to spend the last few hours of yourr holiday cleaning and tidying or you will have to pay 40 EUROs cleaning fees. July 2009.
  12. The property was perfect for our honeymoon, the right size and layout for a couple. Easy access to the village, good walking in the area. Village (Menerbes) had a couple of shops, one excellent restaurant and a couple of others, and was a perfect location for a quiet holiday. The owners were extremely helpful, even driving us to Cavaillon station for our journey home. April 2009.

Perfectly situated a stone’s throw from the beautiful village of Menerbes, with its views od Provence, a boulangerie, epicerie, boucherie, art galleries and restaurants, plus the "Maison aux Truffes et du Vins de Luberon", where there’s a wine cellar representing 60 of the local wine makers. Gite has great view of the Luberon and is attached to the side of the owner’s house, up steps to the front door, past your own private sun terrace. All open plan, with bed tucked in the corner behind the bookcase in the lounge, perfect for 2. Sept 2007.

What makes Les Farinettes really special is the friendliness of the owners whose happy helpfulness made the stay one of the best we have had in a rented property (we have had many). Accuarate description and directions together with an efficient booking service made things very easy - the weather was the icing on the cookie! Sept 2007.
