Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A fabulous location right at the top of Bonnieux. So peaceful and amazing views from the terrace. One of the most relaxing holidays we have had. Within easy reach of so many beautiful villages within the Luberon Valley. The weather was extremely hot and a pool would have made the property perfect, but the position and the views did make up for the lack of one. It was nice to stay in such a modern French property and yet still find it set in a beautiful historic hilltop village in Provence. The evening sunsets were absolutely amazing. June 2012.
  2. A lovely, quiet and secluded property with a beautiful outlook across to the wooded hillside of the Petit Luberon, Les Blayons is ideal for couples (or a couple of couples) looking for a peaceful holiday base in the Vaucluse. A large, open plan kitchen / living area opens directly onto a south-facing terrace shaded with a vine-covered pergola, where, if you’re anything like us, you are likely to spend much of your time. There is another shaded patio with a table and chairs outside the master bedroom. The rest of the garden is a pleasant, extensive, sloping wild lawn dotted with olive trees. There is plenty of parking space on a gated driveway beside the house. Bonnieux is a very pretty village and well-supplied with restaurants, cafes and shops. The Friday market is very good, too. Bear in mind that Les Blayons is at the top of the village so you will get an opportunity to walk off those Provencal meals on the way back up to the house! June 2012.
  3. Beautiful gite with fantastic views over the Luberon and a level of comfort above many gites in which we have stayed. We would thoroughly recommend this property to others. One point to correct on your website - the description indicates the property has wi-fi but it didn’t when we we there. Aug 2011.
  4. Property is well equipped and in a quiet location at the top of a hill with great views. Not suitable for children as garden has unprotected steep drops. Probably the best property we have stayed at in 30 yrs in France. Combination of location, facilities and layout. The village has all necessary food shops, several restaurants of all kinds and all within walking distance. Bonnieux is built on a hillside so expect steep climbs. Good quality furniture and a real hifi system which was good for our Ipod. Bed very comfortable. TV reception poor but we didn’t need it. Terrace shaded by vines growing over famework, garden loungers and sunshade also. June 2011.
  5. Lovely property, beautiful terrace. Nov 2010.
  6. It was exactly as described which was just what we wanted. Sept 2010.
  7. Modern, clean, spacious and a feeling of light and openness. Aug 2010.
  8. Excellent, clean, spacious accommodation with good terrace and glorious views in village location. July 2010.
  9. Fabulous and impeccably executed modern conversion in old stone cottage. Lovely contemporary bathroom with rain shower. Good-sized second bedroom - 4 adults could easily be accommodated in this property. Lots of storage. Very light, spacious, airy and cool - cleverly designed to channel the breeze through the house. Windows are tinted and so keep out the hot sun. Huge garden with gorgeous views over the Luberon hills. Step out of the front door and you have a view of the entire Luberon valley. Five minutes walk down the hill to the shops in Bonnieux. There may not be a pool, but this is still the best French property I have ever stayed in. July 2010.
  10. The views from this modern property together with the stunning minimalist interior. May 2010.
  11. Spacious and well-equipped. Huge windows make the place light and bright throughout the day. Large grounds and wonderful views. Oct 2009.
  12. It is far nicer than photograph shows. Sept 2009.
  13. Nice spacious house. Good open kitchen leading on to shady terrace. Tremendous views over Luberon Mountains. Very private; not overlooked at all. Close enough to the village to walk for meals, shops etc. Safe parking. Large garden. Aug 2009.
  14. The surprise, on walking through the garden gate, was the hugh expanse of garden which had the most superb view over the valley below. Then there was the wall of glass in the kitchen/living room which had the same breathtaking view. Then there was the sound of silence. You may sleep forever at Les Blayons, what a location! Sept 2009.
  15. Overall design was excellent. Recent bathroom upgrade was very impressive. Good storage space for two but would be less good for four. Modern design of property with very good daylight and view. Sept 2009.
  16. Light and airy open plan living room and kitchen made a welcome change to the often cluttered and dark interiors in many French cottages. Terrace for outdoor eating and living was spacious with good furniture and fantastic views. July 2009.
  17. This property is in an excellent position. The shaded terrace is very welcome. July 2008.
  18. Amazing views and walking distance to one of France’s prettiest villages made this location unbeatable ! Oct 2007.
