The attention to detail taken with this renovated farmhouse has created a beautiful, spacious and atmospheric holiday property, with exposed beams and stone walls.

The house adjoins the owner’s home and a paved terrace overlooks the garden, ideal for relaxing or dining outdoors, and there are views of countryside and woodland from the terrace around the private swimming pool.

The nearest town, with all facilities, is Mussidan, approx 8km, where you can join the road to Périgueux and Bordeaux. Ribérac is about 20km, and a swimming lake (La Jamaye) with sandy beach is 12km.

Shop and restaurant 5km, café/bar 2km.

Ground floor: Lounge, kitchen/diner, utility room, shower room with toilet and basin. First floor: 1 double bedroom with bath, basin, bidet and en-suite toilet, 1 bedroom with child’s single bed (no door).

Gas central heating, woodburner in lounge (fuel €10 per basket), all other fuel and power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, cot, colour digital TV, DVD player, CD player, wi-fi, washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, microwave, enclosed lawned garden, garden furniture, barbecue, off road parking for 1 car. One pet welcome. NB: 6 steps up to lounge, 3 steps to child’s bedroom. Unsuitable for the infirm.

  3. This is a property where you can truly relax and enjoy the peace and quite of the French countryside. It also give you the chance to visit some beautiful proper French towns and villages with just a short drive giving you chance to see the proper French way of life - the owners of this property are friendly helpful and there if you need them. simple a beautiful place.   5. Very well-equipped and spacious accommodation - we felt completely at home outside round the pool and indoors relaxing on the settees with a book. The owners are nextdoor and are extremely helpful and friendly, but not at all intrusive. Sept 2009.

  9. Le Treuil was a beautiful cottage, with a lot of character, the photos on the website do not do it justice. We found it was well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. April 2009.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
