Restored, decorated and furnished to a very good standard, this delightful holiday cottage is situated just a short walk (50m) from the main square of this enchanting medieval village. Domme, known as the "Acropolis of Dordogne", with its atmospheric cobbled streets and towered gateways, is remarkably situated on a rocky crag overlooking the Dordogne Valley. Situated just below the owner’s castelet, it enjoys the benefit of a private walled garden with terrace and discreet access to the swimming pool through a gate into another walled garden. There are magnificent panoramic views from the bedrooms and gardens. It is only a few kilometres away from the lovely medieval market town of Sarlat, and is within easy reach of La Roque-Gageac, the world-famous caves of Lascaux, as well as many châteaux - Beynac, Fenelon and Castelnaud being amongst the best known.

  4. An extremely well equipped house which is very well maintained. The gardens are lovely and the pool a great place to relax. Domme is a small bastide town with fantastic views. Facilities in the town are very much based on tourism but there is an excellent boulangerie for your breakfast bread. July 2011.
  5. The standard of finsh to the furnishings is superb and the gardens with pool are simply devine. It’s just a very short stroll into the village centre of Domme from the cottage; where you can take in the amazing Dordogne views and eat out. We took advantage of the BBQ provided and enjoyed sitting out on the terrace at the cottage of an evening with a bottle of local Bergerac wine. Highly recommended. May 2011.

  9. The property has everything you could ask for, it was tastefully decorated with keeping with the character and at the same time had every mod con you need. The pictures do not do the garden and pool justice. May 2010.

  12. Best cottage we have ever stayed in. Modern interior but complementing the original house. Very comfortable and immaculately presented. Only a couple of points we thought could be improved upon: a CD player that worked; a few games as we forgot to take them; beds in the twin bedroom more suitable for adults - our grown up girls did not find them very comfortable and this has been mentioned by previous guests.
