This charming, elegantly refurbished 17th century terraced holiday cottage has all ’mod-cons’. Its patio overlooks the pretty shared large garden and mature trees bordering the River Crake. Set in the quaint hamlet of Spark Bridge, 3 miles from the shores of Coniston Water and 4 miles from the market town of Ulverston. The sandy beaches of Morecambe Bay Estuary stretch south from Bardsea just 2 miles further on. Popular walks include Tarn Howes, Elterwater and Grizedale Forest. For coastal walks the estuary is a short drive away. Shop 2 miles, pub with food 30 yards.

  5. The cottage is in a lovely little village. The cottage is well equipped and so very cosy and homely. We had a fabulous time and sunshine in February made it even more fantastic. The cottage is ideally located for visiting all over the region. The garden is fantastic with a lovely river running through the bottom of it. The pub which is 2 doors away serves the most fantastic food and is very welcoming. I look forward to being able to visit again. Feb 2011.

  13. It was very cosy and beautifully appointed. The owner had taken a lot of thought and consideration in decoration and we were particularly pleased with the christmas decorations that were very tasteful. Dec 2009.
  14. The property contained everything you could possibly need. Kitchen equipment was good quality. Cottage had so much character. River at bottom of shared garden (ideal for dogs) was an added bonus. Oct 2009.
  15. The property was excellent, the pictures didn’t do it justice. Very cosy and whilst welcoming dogs it didn’t smell of them! Our dog loved lying by the wood burner! Great pub 3 doors away which we made full use of. A great base also to explore the rest of the Lakes. Oct 2009.
