From its balcony, main bedroom and kitchen this spacious penthouse apartment enjoys spectacular views over Dartmouth and the estuary and the mouth of the River Dart, and to the rear of the property, there are fine views of the naval college. Set above the owner’s home, it is comfortably furnished and conveniently close to the town centre. Steps lead to a lane which will take visitors to the town centre with many fine pubs and restaurants. The beautiful beach at Blackpool Sands is 3½ miles and the Torbay Riviera can be reach by ferry or steam train. An excellent base for exploring the coast and countryside of the South Hams. Shop 700 yards.

  1. A well maintained apartment with amazing views of the river dart and the naval college. We could’ve sat on the balcony and watched the river for hours! The accommodation was warm and had all fixtures and fittings, even if you wanted to cook! The apartment is a ten min walk from Dartmouth where there are many cafes and pubs and all the food we tried was excellent. One word of caution, Dartmouth is situated in a valley so all walking involves hills, not suitable for anyone with bad knees! The town has public parking but we didn’t use the car once, making the most of local ferries. Oct 2012.
  2. The weather during our holiday was very unsettled, if it had not been for the excellent accommodation we would not have enjoyed the holiday so much. One small observation was that the television in the lounge area could have been a bit larger. June 2012.

  5. Lovely comfortable, clean and well appointed accommodation with fantastic views. On a very steep hill so it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Dartmouth is a lovely place with lots of interesting walks. Feb 2012.
  6. A modern very stylish apartment with lots of space, excellent facilities and fantastic views over Dartmouth. One could almost sit inside all day looking at the view in the changing light. The many nice touches in bathrooms and kitchen were much appreciated. If walking to and from the town for dinner there are some extremely interesting but rather steep alleys and steps to negotiate if it’s raining or after a ’relaxed’ night out. Overall, however, an excellent place to stay and a good base for exploring the region. Dec 2011.

Stunning views far exceeded our expectations - all front windows and balcony look out over the town and estuary, the rear looks over the naval college - the photo in the brochure doesn’t do it justice. Accommodation was bright, spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. Milk and biscuits provided on arrival, as were towels, soaps etc. - nice touch. By the end of our first week, we had already rebooked for next year. Fantastic setting - the only negative for some are the stairs (many), the hills (steep, everywhere). Dartmouth is crammed with top quality eating places, and plenty to do, we got so lucky with the weather - suntan in April, in the UK anyone? April 2010.
  18. Bright, spacious, luxurious, clean. A real treat to stay there. Beautifully furnished and equipped with fabulous views from all windows and everything one could want. The off street parking and easy walk into town were also plus points. Owners friendly but not intrusive and the arrangements were fuss-free. March 2010.
