Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. An excellent position close to Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. Much to do and plenty of good local pubs. Nov 2012.
  2. The cottage was clean and well equipped and in a very nice and quiet location where you could get to all the sites we wanted to see with in half an hour, the local pubs sell a selection of good food and ale. the Red Hare had exceptional slow roasted belly pork and staff very nice. I would stay there again and recommend the cottage as a must if you are thinking of having a few days in the forest of Dean area. June 2012.
  3. This cottage was very cosy and a home from home. Even though it was attached to the owner’s property, we didn’t hear a thing, and had complete privacy. Being in the country I couldn’t believe how quiet it was at night - very peaceful. Cottage had all the facilities that we needed, my only bug bear was that the shower wasn’t very powerful. The property was a very good base to access various parts of Gloucestershire, we were in this neck of the woods to visit relatives in the vicinty so it suited us very well. Would definitely return again to this cottage. Oct 2011.
  4. Lovely and peaceful rural location, but with the added benefit of being close to Gloucester. Sept 2011.
  5. Well located for Forest of Dean and the Welsh side of the Severn. Not good if you wish to go for walks directly from the cottage, as it is 50 yards from a busy road and there is nowhere else to go apart from up and down that. Cottage is adjacent to owners house which is their base for their other businesses so expect to see/hear day to day activity. But comfortable and quiet and good value. Aug 2011.
  6. Lovely, cosy and interesting. Very clean. Oct 2010.
  7. Tastefully decorated and cosy, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture. Sep 2010.
  8. Made welcome, shown around and even provided with a print out of the weather. Accommodation was well equipped, clean and comfortable. June 2010.
  9. Lovely and homely, very well equipped and well appointed. Oct 2009.
  10. The cottage was lovely and the owners were nice people. Sept 2009.
  11. This cottage offered a tranquil and peaceful base from which to discover the delights of the Forest of Dean. Jan 2009.
  12. The welcome basket was just right. The helpfulness and friendliness of the owner couldn’t be beaten. So very impressed with this holiday. Oct 2008.
  13. A lovely home from home - very welcoming and a great cosy cottage. Nov 2008.
  14. Lovely cottage with great views. Highly recommended accommodation. Feb 2007.
  15. The hosts/owners are people who really make you feel relaxed & welcome. The cottage is very private and secluded but not far of the main road. Jan 2006.
