Forming part of a hamlet next to the Tewitfield Locks on the Lancaster canal these holiday homes have been carefully furnished throughout to provide guests with every comfort. With private rear courtyard they provide a relaxing holiday atmosphere.
With easy access to the motorway they make an excellent base from which to explore both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, together with the seaside town of Morecambe and the historic city of Lancaster close by. The market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is just 7 miles and offers a wealth of individual shops, pubs and restaurants. Nearby are golf, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, with walking available direct from the door. Shop 500 yards. Pub and restaurant on site.
Lapwing and Teal properties enjoy views over the marina. Accommodation will be allocated on arrival (layouts may vary).

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen area with wooden floor. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft) with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Freeview TV. DVDs. Lawned garden. Balcony. Parking (2 cars). No smoking.

All properties: Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. NB: Unfenced marina and canal.

  4. The accommodation is first class; it is tastefully furnished and care and thought given to comfort. Being close to the Marina is a bonus. Booking a table at the local hotel is recommended as it gets very full. Oct 2011.

  6. Excellent accomadation, lovley walks, very good pub on site, nearest shop for papers etc Burton-in-Kendal, Kirkby Longsdale not to be missed. Better signing for Lapwing etc needed as you enter complex. Very good value for money. June 2011.
  7. There were 4 adults in our party, we were very pleased with the accommodation. The apartment was very clean and welcoming, light and roomy, the beds were very comfy. The only thing we noticed in the bathrooms were no shaver points and possibly shelving and a hook for dressing gown. There was plenty of storage space for clothes and equipment. Luckily we took 2 garden chairs with us because only 2 were provided on the front terrace, as we were lucky with the weather, we sat outside when possible. June 2011.
  8. A lovely holiday base in relaxed surroundings. Very clean and comfortable. just what we needed to explore the area. There is a dog friendly pub very close by and some lovely canal walks. On the other side of the main road there is a visitors farm and farm shop. April 2011.

  11. Despite being near the M6, we did not notice it as the property is well screened. The marina was lovely, the neighbours pretty quiet and the coutryside near-by lovely. On top of that it took only a short drive to get up to the Lakes, and a short drive in to the Dales. All in all excellent. April 2010.
  12. Tasteful, modern and extremely clean and well heated. The carpets up the stairs and in the bedrooms was luxurious and well co-ordinated. The view over the marina was super. Feb 2010.

  14. Modern, bright and great location. The property was new and reasonably well equipped. Frustrating that there were only four knives, forks etc - know its equipped for four, but a few extras would be nice. There were loads of glasses. Would have liked a larger bed in main room rather than just a standard double. Also would have liked bath sheets rather than bath towels - sounds nit picky but makes a difference. Nov 2009.
