Property Description

Only 10 minutes from beautiful Coniston Water sits Langholme Mill Cottage near Lowick, a 17th Century former corn mill. Coniston, Ulverston and Broughton are within easy reach enabling visitors to explore the fields and fells that are visible from the door of Langholme Mill, enticing visitors to explore the great outdoors. Langholme Mill Cottage is rather special as it has almost an acre of beautiful woodland gardens. Designed around the mill race, the gardens feature interesting displays, ornamental bridges and features slate paths, as well as well established rhododendrons, hostas and aces providing a mass of vibrant colour. The owners open their garden (by prearranged appointment only) as part of the National Gardens Scheme throughout the summer in aid of nursing, caring and gardening charities.
Inside Langholme Mill Cottage is spacious and comfortable. The Mill displays a wealth of character features including superb stonework fireplace and original oak beams and all the rooms are light an spacious. Two ground floor bedrooms and bathroom make this an ideal property for those guests who struggle with stairs and a TV in one of the ground floor bedrooms to ensure a good degree of privacy for the larger party.

Ground Floor: Langholme Mill Cottage has gas fired central heating and a log burning stove and comprises:
Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, gas hob, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Utility area: For drying and storage with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Spacious lounge: With feature stone fireplace housing an open fire (fuel available locally), TV, video and DVD.
Bedroom 1: With double bed, pretty co-ordinating linens and TV.
Bedroom 2: With double bed and TV.
Shower room: With shower cubicle, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

First Floor: Bedroom 3: With double bed and TV.
Bedroom 4: With twin beds and delightful ornamental fireplace.
Both of these bedrooms have access to a ’jack and jill’ bathroom (i.e. accessed from either room to create an en-suite), with bath, hand basin, heated towel rail and W.C.

All gas, electric, bed linen and towels provided. Cot and highchair available. Three well behaved pets welcome. Internet access.Outside: Very large, mature gardens with furniture provided. Off road parking for 4 cars. Please note Langholme Mill sits at the side of the A5092 towards Broughton.
