High on the hillside just north of the popular Lakeland village of Windermere, Langdale View is a superb four bedroomed holiday property - the wing of a very large detached house and has been tastefully renovated to provide four en-suite bedrooms, three of which have stunning views of the Langdale Pikes, and one with its own separate seating area. Overlooking Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells the scenery is simply breathtaking. The delightful nearby villages of Windermere and Bowness have interesting boutiques, tea rooms and craft shops for browsing, as well as ferry trips on the lake. The craggy fells and peaceful lakes inspired William Wordsworth, whose home in Grasmere is open to visitors, and also Beatrix Potter, who lived at Hill Top at Sawrey, a 17th century farm which is now preserved by the National Trust. Shop and restaurants 2 miles.

Second floor: 1 double bedroom with beams and en-suite shower room and toilet.

  3. The kitchen is very small and limited if cooking for a large party. The great benefit of the property is that all 4 bedrooms have on-suite facilities. The furnishings are a bit basic but clean and functional. Sept 2011.

  19. We were very impressed and felt that the property was of a very high standard. If there were any negatives it would be that the kitchen was a little small for the size of the party staying. We would definitely revisit and have already recommended it to other people. Feb 2009.
  20. The accommodation for our party of 6 adults and two children was spacious and well equipped. At no time did we feel on top of each other and the 4 en suite bathrooms were well fitted out. The views were splendid and we had a wonderful long weekend break with our family to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. Everyone, including the children, said they would love to go back. Nov 2008.
