Property Description

This holiday lodge is set by a river-fed fishing lake in the grounds of Thurston Manor, Holiday Park. Close to the Lammermuir Hills and within minutes of beaches in East Lothian, and Edinburgh is under 40 minutes’ drive away. It is separated from, but near the shared facilities; indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, bar/restaurant and shop. Walks from the doorstep. Golf courses are a short drive away in Dunbar. Take a boat trip from North Berwick to see the gannets on the Bass Rock. Shop, pub and restaurant 800 yards.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Gas central heating included (£30per week, £15 per short break November-March). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Shared laundry facilities. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi in shared leisure area. Private enclosed decking area with furniture. Extensive shared grounds. On-site fly fishing by day permit. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. No smoking. Friday to Friday. No children under 2 years. NB: Unfenced lake 6 yards.

  8. This is a fabulous, luxury lodge in the most idyllic location. It really is just breathtaking. It is an absolute credit to the owners and we just couldn’t fault it. They have thought of everything and there is a very special personal touch throughout. Situated right by the lake with a large enclosed deck makes it perfect for young children and the dog! Although dogs are allowed there is absolutely now evidence of any whatsover. The Glen is the best part of Thurston Manor as it is so peaceful and picturesque but you still have the use of the facilities at the main park such as the pool. We love the place and will without a shadow of a doubt be returning. Oct 2011.
