Property Description

Unspoilt lake views

These 5 holiday cabins, each with furnished verandah for dining al fresco, are located 7 miles from Boston, and 20 miles from Skegness. They are situated just outside the small village of Old Leake where there are two pubs, a supermarket and a children’s play area. The site is 1/2 mile from the A52 with a regular bus service to Boston and Skegness.
Sheepgate Equestrian Centre is 2 miles away, where National Dressage competitions are held. The local RSPB reserve at Freiston Shore is 5 miles away, whilst Leverton village to the south has a café, supermarket and pub.
There are many country lanes around the site which are ideal for walking and cycling. The cabins overlook an established fishing lake (permit provided), however, guests will also be required to have their own Environment Agency fishing license. Shop 3/4 mile, pub and restaurant 1/2 mile.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 1 twin (can be double). Shower room and toilet.

All properties: Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Digital TV. DVD and small library. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Private paved terrace with sitting-out area and furniture. Shared 9-acres of natural grounds. Parking (3 cars). One small pet welcome (must be kept on lead at all times within the grounds). No smoking. NB: There are 3 lakes within the grounds.

Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Very relaxing break in excellent accommodation with attentive owner looking after all our requirements. April 2012.
  2. Accomodation was excellent. Warm and cosy and very spacious. I stayed in Dec 2011 and previously in Feb 2011. The site is not too far from the main road, which is helpful during the winter months if their is snow or ice about. Quietly tucked out of the way but, I think, ideally located for Boston or a 20-25 min drive to Skegness. There are many attractions within an hours drive or less. You can fish on site if you wish or just walk or cycle around the grounds. Dec 2011.
  3. This cabin really is a home frome home with absolutely no problems for the less able . The area is very different from our home in the hills of Worcestershire but there are still plenty of surprises for the inquisitive visitor . Boston is an acquired art for the driver but signposting is very much better than we are accustomed to and there are fast main roads between towns with a network of lanes to the quieter parts of the county. Sept 2011.
  4. Thoroughly enjoyable. Just what we wanted. Peace and tranquility. Accommodation extremely clean and spacious. Could not find fault if I tried. Sept 2011.
  5. A beautiful lodge in a very peaceful environment. Lots of space inside and out for our toddler to play. Comfortable interior, very clean and fresh, modern fittings, everything you need for a self catering holiday. We also had the best week weather-wise so all of my washing was done, pegged out and taken home clean. We loved it and would definitely like to visit again. Thank you Rachel. Sept 2011.
  6. Secluded and quiet but ideally located for local amenties. Dec 2010.
  7. It was clean, well equipped, a nice location and the owner Rachel was pleasant and helpful. Aug 2010.
  8. The cleanest holiday accommodation we have ever been in and the lady who owned the cabin was so readily available if we had any concerns it was so nice we didnt want to leave and this is a first also GREAT. Oct 2010.
  9. Absolutley beautiful, could not fault the accommodation. Aug 2010.
  10. The property was excellent, we took my husbands elder parents for a fishing/break hol. The lakes, accommodation & local pubs/eat in pub/restaurants & supermarkets are fantastic. The photos don’t do this property justice & the hosts are more than willing to help & accommodate. July 2010.
  11. Excellent standard of accommodation. Friendly owners and a real hidden treasure. Aug 2010.
