Outside there is a pleasant cottage garden with a patio and furniture, ideal for al-fresco meals. Being just 2.5 miles from Matlock, this makes a good base for touring, with Bakewell just a few miles away and all the family attractions of Matlock Bath nearby. Shop 2.5 miles, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (no fuel provided). Underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Satellite TV. Blu-ray. CD. iPod dock. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Garden with patio and furniture with access to adjoining paddock at the front of the barn. Parking (2 cars). Natural water supply from borehole. No smoking. NB: Drops in grounds.

  10. Lairs Barn is a lovely cottage, peaceful with easy access by car. It was warm and welcoming and had the most amazing views around it. A amazing base to tour around the peak District. After a hike, returning to under floor heating and a wood burner is amazing. Shame that the cottage is booked for Christmas as we would return. Nov 2009.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
