Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Lovely modern Gite with delightful private patio and garden and covered outside dining area. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for you stay. It is in the village center where there is shops and a bar. Owner was very helpful and welcoming. Sept 2012.
  2. An older property recently renovated to a high standard on the edge of the village, the accommodation was good and clean with modern central heating (will be turned on, on request with the owner) for those wet days. There is ample living space for 6 people plus a small neat garden area plus covered outside dining area and BBQ, parking for a medium size car to the rear of the adjoining property but access is limited. The village has a small Store, Butchers & Bakers only a short walk from the property. For eating out local villages are very limited its best to travel 15 mins to "Bayeux" where there is a good selection of Resturants & Bistros within the Cathederal area, For parking Look for the Bayeux Tapestry/Cathederal signs parking area and park there everything you need is in that area. I would give this Property 8/10. June 2012.
  3. The owner was very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. La Maringotte was a joy to stay in, very spacious, clean and with all the utensils required if self catering. The cottage location is ideal as a central base to explore the D Day Landing Beaches, associated museums, fortifications of the German Atlantic Wall (Azzeville, Crisbecq, Point Du Hoc, etc...) and war cemetery’s.Close to Bayeux where you can visit the tapestry and Cathedral. We would highly recommend this accommodation to all wanting to explore Normandy. Feb 2012.
  4. Beautiful cottage, great location with lovely bakery, butchers and local shop just a short walk in to the village. The house was clean and comfortable with a lovely garden the children really enjoyed it. Sept 2011.
  5. Great holiday, lovely cottage in a good location. June 2011.
  6. Good location as base to tour Normandy area, village has general store, baker, butchers, bar (lunch time meals)small market on Wednesdays, ATM inside bank. 1 hour from Caan ferry, good roads. April 2011.
  7. Lots of room and well equipped. The house was very clean and tidy and the finish on the decor was excellent. May 2010.
  8. Situated in a quite location, but with all the village amenities. Ideal if you want to explore the war beaches/cemetris and bayeaux. Longest drive 1 hour. The house was fantastic, clean, comfortable. The best gite Ive stayed in so far. Will definitely book this house again. April 2010.
  9. The property was of a higher standard than we have experienced in other properties we have rented which made us feel special. Oct 2009.
  10. The property was ideally located - rural, but close to shops. The house was very nicely renovated and had everything you needed (dishwasher, new oven/microwave). The garden was nice (although not completely closed off, which is a problem with a 1-year-old toddler). Sept 2009.
  11. Very efficient service from your company, we would recommend accommodation and service to friends. June 2009.
  12. Very comfortable for the two of us. Plenty of dishes, plate and glasses. June 2009.
  13. This was a very well equipped gite. Lots of space for all the family. Highly recommended. July 2009.
  14. A well presented and equipped property with large bedrooms and a lovely garden & BBQ area. Village location is good for access to bakers, butchers, post office, play area, abbey. June 2008.
  15. The accommodation was spacious with a lovely outdoor bbq perfect for relaxing in the evenings. June 2008.
  16. Perfect for a relaxing holiday in peaceful surroundings, yet all amenities are just few minutes walk away. Would be very happy to return. Aug 2008.
  17. The village was very nice and quiet and the locals very friendly and accommodating. Within 300 yards was an excellent baker, butcher, grocer bar-cafe and newsagent. Wednesday there is a fruit and veg stall in the square and a fishmonger comes in a van. The property was beautiful! It was a traditional house that had been renovated in 2007 to a very high standard. The shower and heating were first rate. The kitchen was modern and very well equipped. The garden was lovely, very secluded and peaceful and a nice patio area. There was a covered seating area that got sun in the morning. We took our bicycles and there was a storeroom to store them safely. We loved the house and the village so much that we spent a lot of time "at home". We didn’t need to use the car we had everything we needed on the doorstep. We’ve stayed in lots of gites before and this is definitely the best. We would like to return to this gite either later this year or next, just need to check the diary! Thanks. May 2008.
  18. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The cottage was amazing, perfect for a family. Although it was situated in a tiny quiet village, there was plenty to do close by. Bayeaux is roughly a 20 minute drive and the landing beaches roughly 45 mins away. The owner of the property was friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. We have considered returning fo a break next year. March 2008.
  19. Excellent property, one of the best that we have stayed in. March 2008.
