Property Description

This comfortable, detached villa called La Maoure (an anagram of Amour, translated love) lies on the edge of a quiet street, 5km from Cavaillon and offers an ideal spot. From the immaculately presented pool and the mature oliveraie garden, there is a pleasant ‘picture postcard’ view over the village’s rooftops, the church clock and the Luberon Mountains in the background. The living room leads to a south-facing covered terrace, which gives access to a second terrace, the swimming pool and garden. The property is a practical and easily-run villa, with the only sounds being the birdsong. Within a short walk are shops, bakeries, cafés and restaurants, whilst there are supermarkets at Cavaillon, many riverside restaurants and antiques at bustling Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (7km) and golf at Saunane. In July, Avignon hosts an exciting theatre festival. Velleron holds evening farmer markets selling local produce. The hilltop villages of Gordes, Roussillon and Bonnieux await discovery.

  6. A lovely house in a fantastic setting - so quiet but close to a bakery and small supermarket. The house is cool, comfortable and well equipped. The pool area is lovely and the pool is large. Everything is spotlessly clean and the owners are charming. We had a wonderful holiday. July 2010.

  8. We loved the location of this property. The traditional village shops, good restaurants and walking trails into the Petite Luberon are all within short walking distance. The pool and garden area are immaculate and for a village location it feels very private. July 2009.
  9. Although in the centre of a large village, the property itself was in a quiet, secluded area and completely private. The accommodation was comfortable, well laid out and spacious. The grounds and swimming pool were excellent. Some of the luberons finest villages such as Gordes, Menerbes, Loumarin etc and the Luberon national park were all within easy reach. I would certainly book this accommodation again. June 2009.

This property far exceeded our expectations and was the best property we have visited with your company, the owners were delightful and very proud of their house, which had obviously been their family home in the past. We could not fault anything about the property, the pool and gardens were superb and the furnishing in the property excellent and its location, whilst close to the town, was very peaceful and secluded.
